Edited by DAZTR411 at 2015-8-26 12:21 \n\nHi, has anyone had issues using mobile data? I haven't had mobile data on this phone for awhile, but calling and texting still works. Any ideas?

If you are using the phone for the first time and the data doesn't work but 2G and MMS works great it's definitely a APN configuration issue. You have to check the mobile network settings to be sure the apn used is properly set. You can ask a friend with the same operator as you to be sure of the configuration.

I had hard time to get mobile data working so I share the solution with others.

1. My out-of-the-box APN settings was wrong. I get the proper settings via a configuration message from my carrier. (But you can use manual settings too)

2. You have to enable mobile data under Settings -> Data usage -> Vodafone HU (this will be your carrier network name) -> Mobile data connection

Its certainly your APN settings , after days of no internet I now have lovely 4G. My issue was my APN type setting was wrong, it had multiple APN types, when all that it needed was either "default" or "default" +"mms" +"net".

You need to check your settings with your provider but the below worked for me, for the three 4G network UK.

ACCESS POINT NAME: APN

Name        3 UK
APN        3internet
APN type        default
Proxy        Not set
Port        Not set
Username        Not set
Password        Not set
Server        Not set
MMSC        http://mms.um.three.co.uk:10021/mmsc
MMSC proxy        8799
MMS port        Not set
MCC        234
MNC        20
Authentication type        Not set
APN protocol        IPv4
APN roaming protocol        IPv4
APN enable/disable        APN enabled        (ticked)
Bearer        Unspecified
