i understand why umi keep quiet about updating their old phones (even if super is not that old).  Umi will present a new flagship on the 7th of september : the umi plus.

There is no circle home button on umi super this is just light (virtual button) but umi plus have square push button and in that button is finger print sensor build in compare to umi super is on back cover under camera.
About camera I can't compare as I'm not using umi plus I have just umi super and as I said in other opinions umi super have good camera fast focus good quality of pictures there was just software issue but for now everything is fixed. You can check opinions from Xiaomi Redmi 3 as this smartphone using the same camera as umi plus S5K3L8 ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_CMOS). Just don't forget as camera is not everything because software needs to be compatible too. In specifications of umi plus is information about quick charger so I presume that quick charger is coming with the phone. Just there is some mistake max output current is 1,65A and min 1,25A but phone will charge from 0% to 100% in 1H40min up to maximum 2H I checked my self as I using this phone for last 2 months . Compare to Ulefone Power maximum is 2,0A and min 1,5A just small different umi super is using 4000 mah(battery will last from 2 to 4 days with 3,5H of screen on 1,5H of calls) but ulefone Power 6000 mah (battery will last 3 to 5 days with 8,5 H screen on,  2,5 H calls).
I saw too  but at the start that was no information about notification light now we know that is three colours red/green /blue.

Other manufacturers release different phones periodically not copy paste old with some zero changes.. Support old please..

If anybody really thought they were buying a flagship for the umi super price, that's where you went wrong, it has its shortcomings, more so for some than for others, but its still a really good phone in this price bracket, and, its got great design, I have the Goldy one

where's the plus in the UMI Plus ???

I want to know what UMI want to achieve with it.
They constantly bring new models to the market, which do not differ much.
UMI better should take care of the existing devices so that they function faultlessly.
New devices should also be thoroughly tested before they are sold to customers.
I have no desire to be beta testers for UMI.

What we really need to know are UMI going to give regular updates to this new flagship with regular input from the users to bugs etc.   Not wait weeks and weeks for incremental updates etc.  This has been lacking on the UMI Super and the development teams need to be more proactive towards the users..  Admin need to appoint more moderators to help benebacsi  as he is the only one to sort out the forums.

There really needs to be some structure to these forums and I would like to put my self forward to helping UMI community to change and move forward with these great phones.

Also the United Kingdom is not a region and therefore propose that admin  please consider me as a prospective candidate to run the UK side ..

There is no information about umi max and umi plus GPU frequency (umi super is 700 MHz) so could be less as CPU in umi max and umi plus is ( 4x 1,0 GHz and 4x 1,8 GHz) less than umi super (4x 1,2 GHz and 4x 1,95 GHz)  probably to increase battery life.

Umi super coming with pe+ charger. And circle light in umi super is used as seven different colours of notification light which umi plus doesn't have in home button and there is no information about any notification light so I presume that there is no notification light.

Yes, I know that now also.
On paper, the Panasonic camera was also good.
In reality, however, it has weaknesses,
or it is not sufficiently supported by the software.
I am very excited about the first practical tests.
Then we will see whether the UMI Plus is really a flagship or again a sham.

They should probably do something about their product life-cycle. After all, releasing these many phones in under a year doesn't bode well for long-term support of any of them. I doubt their staff is large enough to accommodate multiple OS updates across several models. Unless, of course, the hardware doesn't vary much, in which case I'd question the usefulness of releasing multiple models in the first place. There's a reason Apple released the iPhone 6S a year after the iPhone 6.
