hi, are you sure about this? IMX179 or IMX164?
because last budget phone from UMI have IMX164

@BingoBronson Did you try another program for hardware detection? It's a little weird that they put 1MP front camera with 5MP interpolation. If this is all true it is enough for a refund.

btw... Does it have a protective Gorilla Core Glass 3?

Can someone from UMI explain the situation?

Tip: remove the protective film from the camera before testing. The thin and hard to notice.

I think those cheap protective film with the phone very bad, so it would be good to see the screen without it.

@BingoBronson, Can you put some pictures taken in different conditions with a front, and especially with the rear camera? ..with and without HDR.

ups.. My mistake, I thought it was on the front camera 1MP right resolution without interpolation, now I see it's video resolution.
