I am using Plus E for 3 days and this morning when i began texting my first message it started to knock inside around camera area like if something fell out.
I mean whenever i tap it at upper part of the screen something clack inside it. When i press that area between my palms it disappears but after some time in my jeans pocket it is back.
it is quite annoying. It also obvious when i just shake the phone.

I can upload the video but i don't see how

other than that i was really enjoying the phone:
the screen is good. not impressivley bright but i like color rendition.
battery lasts a few days with my usage. in fact i only charged it once yet
clean Android without bloated UI. though i've got annoying "app permission management is running" notification all the time so i had to disable that in app settings.
lags free experience, P20 is more than enough for everyday tasks

..and now that clacking

Please contact seller for warranty as following your explanation this is hardware fault.
Also if you want you can open phone and repair yourself or ask any smartphone repairing centre.
This option will void your warranty.

well i can't say for the earlier model, but the Plus E is decent for the price. honestly i don't really see big difference dpeaking os wise. my conclusion is it is better to use the phone with the version of android it was sold with the box. Reason is android becoming too clumsy/bloated each new version. If you check any lollipop/marshmallow/nougat comparison you'll see lollipop performs most everyday task faster. Any upgrades i've experienced before only coused lags where everything has been smooth before. Either way that is not to defend UMI and if they promised to release nougat upgrade that's their words. As fir my experince i've got my phone in 3 weeks after paying, half of that time spend and my country customs.

Edited by skud at 2017-4-20 02:10 \n\n   So i decided to open the phone at the cost of voiding the warranty. i decided i am not going through all the hassle of sending phone back and refunding. turned out this is the camera module which is samsung, it is not entire silent by itslef, but what makes it so clanky is that it is not fasten in  any way besides its flex flat cable. I don't know perhaps it is supposed to be tightly held between the camera protecting glass from one side and the back of the body from teh other but it seems that's not the case. Under the camera there is some kind of an adhesive substance which supposed to hold it in place but this substance is not that sticky at all, so the camera module can fell off with just one shake of a phone. So what i did is i rubbed a tiny piece of this adhesive shit with a knife from a 3M tape and putted it under the camera, then press. That clanky noise is now gone. Honestly, my idea is that all this have to be done by manufacturer. Mind you the camera module is very sensitive so it's still pretty audible when you shake the phone, but this time it's just lenses/autofocus or what else it is supposed to be. While investigating the matter i faced lots of similar topics in regard iphone 5 s and samsung s6 and s7 and some other brands like huawei..

I hope that my video link helped.
Be honesty to you Umi /Umidigi phones are not bad comparing quality to price I would say that they are really good.
Definitely in mass production some stuff could happen and we can't do nothing about.

I am not saying they are bad.
I don't have any prior experience with umi. So I don't know about other UMI phones.
Nobody secured against faults as we saw with Note 7.
But a company which want to take share in this competitive market should have:
1. decent engineering and quality assembling, in case these 2 fails, asa last resort they have to have
2. a viable way of solving the problems with their products in case clients experience any.
I don't know if UMI going the right direction, but you have to be more honest/humble about your phones.
Yo say fast charging and it took 2 hours to charge 4000mAh battery.
You said 6 GB LPDDR4 RAM but in reality A1 SD benchmark shows RAM ccopy 4018 MB/s, which is nothing like LP DDR4. Even redmi note 4 has 5000-5500 MB/S and snapdragon 625 only supports LP DDR3, so how come Plus E RAM is slower than Redmi Note 4 RAM?
To put this into comparison say ZUK Z2 shows 11000-12000 MB/s RAM copy speed. So again, even if on paper UMI says Plus E has LP DDR4 memory in reality it 3X times slower than actual LP DDR4, i mean it's not 30% slower, it's 3 times slower !! And what's the point of having 6 gb of slow memroy? I'd rather have 3 gb of fast memory. It still works ok and perhaps i don't really need DDR4 perfomance anyway, but what you do is mislieading people. Same with battery: i didn't see any "Sony" on the battery anywhere, it cleary states chinese manufacturer. Perhaps it's not the battery itself, but the cells used in this battery is from Sony, but you said "sony battery". That is not honest. I am not sure if you will be competitive with such an attitude towards buyers.
