Why? Problem with quick charge was posted a month ago. You don't have to install any update.
I even  ...

Posted where? Here? People are not supposed to check a forum to know if an OFFICIAL update is working or not. Are you kidding me? An official update (expecially when marked as "minor bug fixing ecc.") HAS to work fine. It's a UMI responsability to push a tested and well working update.

Comments

The upgrade was official released. I didn't searched for it. It appeared on my mobile as "firmware upgrade". If they know the bug should leave it on the web for betatesters & braves.  Post time 2017-2-24 20:01
Changelog: First final release Known bug: Fast charging still unstable You do know how to read right? I suggest you read before running a tantrum mate.  Post time 2017-2-23 23:46

Why update to Nougat, I am on marsmellow and have none of the bugs. Do a resseach on the forum befor ...

Because the upgrade was an official release, not a custom ROM, send by UMI. No one expect to have to check official release.

(When "OFF" seems to be faster... but that's NOT a solution)

Honestly, they just need to release the 7.1 for us because 7.0 was said to have a lot of bugs apparently even on other phones,  not just umi, and then we'll be good ☺️

Have the same problem. Upgraded to Nougat yesterday. Connected to charger. Took almost
6 hours to fully charge phone. Felt a bit like its trickle charging. Definitely not fast charging.

Umi Super user here; having the same problem. It takes 4+ hours to fully charge the phone and it also discharges a lot faster than before (especially when using Bluetooth).

I even doubt it's possible to do a FOTA downgrade. However, you're free to downgrade using the SPFT tool.

Problem with quick charge was posted a month ago. So the should not to give an official release: by mobile you are not noticed about bugs. Mostly if they known it: not send an official "beta" release.   Post time 2017-2-24 19:53
