Hi.

I received the smartphone and I am satisfied.
There was a problem with the tactile but solved with the updates.
But I have 2 main problems now :
- it switch off by himself frequently, I have to do a hard reboot to use it again.
- accents (numerous in French) are not recognized by the smartphone and are replaced by Chinese characters and that create an error " SmallWindow".


How to solve this?

With the new ROM version 2017/01/10 the phone has now worked for 12 hours nonstop without crash/black screen. This was never possible before.

I tested the problematic stuff like WIFI/4G/mobile/Hotspot etc and no crash. So either wait like Marcin said a few days for the official release or flash it now from this other source.

Hello,

I am having the exact same problem. As soon as I read this I did a factory reset, but ten minutes after having reset my phone the problem occurred again... I will try to flash my system later this week.

hello friends, have a plus e bought a few days ago but have a problem as you can see in m avatar, sometimes my telephone hangs and i have to restart by holding power button for 10 seconds.

i need a reliable phone like the normal PLUS-model. i already updated by cable AND by FOTA, still the same issue, please help, i don't really want to send it back, please help me with this.

I think more that it is a firmware problem rather than hardware thus I hope that a dev or responsable of UMI see our messages.

Hi
Please perform factory reset (settings - backup and reset - factory data reset).
If this not help please update your phone through to FOTA if is available on your device.
Otherwise please use SPFT and flash you system with latest available ROM. Here you have SPFT, ROM and drivers

I received my UMI Plus E last week, yesterday I started using it as my daily driver and the error described above occured afther a few hours. The screen goes dark and the device is not responding. However, the screen is turned on, you can see that in a dark environment only. It will flicker in that state. The only way to come out of that situation is to press the power button long to restart the device.
I will flash my device now with the latest ROM from this side and hope this will solve the problem.

The version in the ROM section is Version 3.01 but with date 20161228 instead of 27. Is there a difference between this version and the one that came OTA ?

I believe that it's the same thing, on the telephone it's the version of 12/27/2016 but available in OTA since 28.

Yes this is same version.
But there is small difference as FOTA is only repairing patch but ROM from here is full System. So if there is any error in system repairing patch could not help.
I would recommend use SPFT and latest ROM
