my Touch doesn't charge when on nor exchange data

Hi, my UMI Touch bought last september worked finely at first, then suddenly I met two big issues: 1) it doesn't charge when either connected to a pc or to a socket 2) it is not recognized by any pc, then I cannot backup my pictures and data of course, I've tried with several cables (all work fine with other phones) and pcs I read on the forum that this issue, really frustrating, has been experienced by several other members with other models is there anybody who could help me? I wrote 3 times in the last month to UMI Support: really hope this might be the right chance ! ciao t

Sounds like the USB socket in the phone is damaged or dirty. Carefully inspect the socket to see if there is a foreign object or fluff inside. If the plug won't insert full depth it indicates the above problem. Very difficult to clean in there; I have used a toothpick very gently to remove a buildup of fluff in an iPhone once. Be careful!
