Touch Screen will not work on table

When i place my phone on a table or bed (flat surface), the touch screen wont work , especially the bottom half. As soon as i hold it on my hands or touch the bottom ,tilt the phone litle bit, the touch works fine. What is the issue ?

I noticed that happened after the last OTA update (20160810). Before then it was working ok for me.

Confirmed the same prolem

Confirmed , before the latest fota no problem with touch screen. It seems that instead of solving the existing problems updates  make new ones.

I have also done the factory reset and now when the phone is placed on a flat surface  the touch screen is unresponsive.

I also notice about it. I placed my Super on the bed while playing Pokemon Go and touch screen doesn't work unless I press really hard on screen.

I had all this information placed in to latest update topic.
I found that in edges of screen are some sensors which are activated from last update probably those sensors are used for smart lock. If you touch or put your other hand (body) close to screen, screen will work fine. Of course this should be fixed as this is completely unacceptable.
