UMI Super - Gorilla Fake Glass

Hello again...
Today i left my UMI Super in the pocket of my jacket...
Inside that pocket where my keys... They did bump a bit inside the pocket with the phone...

As everyone know, UMI SUPER suposelly have Gorilla Glass 2 for Screen protection....
Well after i take my phone out of the pocket i imediatelly notice some scratch marks on the screen...

I pass with the nail on top of them and they are really there, and its not that light scracth on the surface...

So how come Gorilla Glass 2 UMI SUPER, have this kind of marks just from travelling with me in my pocket with my keys inside?
For me is another BS from UMI on top of anothers lies...

Usually, I am not an active user, but I would like to give my opinion for the first time.

Beatertech, you are like a “fanboy”. I find your interventions often irrelevant.
We are not stupid. As said by Syanide, we all know what is a phone and we know that UMI Super is not a S7 or iPhone.
We do not expect UMI Super be indestructible, but we can compare it to other devices and note that it is not so robust as expected for a Corning Gorilla Glass.

A commercial relationship should be based on trust.
Whatever the manufacturer, when something is sold with specifications, the product must really have these specifications.
We should not say, if you are not happy, go to Samsung or whatever.

I know that most of bugs will be fixed by OTA updates (perhaps except 4G/GPS sensitivity).
I can see that Bencebacsi is doing a lot of efforts and try to help, but unfortunately, it is not enough.
I can accept that UMI Super has been sold to early and it will be improved by OTA, but in this case UMI should really be more transparent and communicates with users who trusted the product.
If communication is regular and transparent, users will be more patient.

In the forum, I can see some doubts on different points (Sony battery, 4000 mAh, Corning Gorilla Glass)
From my side, I cannot say if they are true or false.

From my side trust to UMI has been broken with one of the first communication point regarding the camera.

We this way to proceed, the doubts on the other point will not be cleared on my mind.

UMi, as many other smaller smartphone manufacturers gets the gorilla glass parts from a retailer, not directly from Corning. Here's a list (just a short one by a quick search) of some other brands advertised with Gorilla Glass but are missing in the list.

The photos published by UMi (not on third party sites) contain the original EXIF info, that identifies the capturing device.

I also use some other cameras.
CameraMX, A Better Camera, Snap Camera, Open Camera and Camera FV-5.
The result is thus indeed a little bit better, but it is far from what is promised.

But to stay on topic ...
The many reports of broken and scratched displays unsettled me a little.
UMi has made some big promises that have not really kept in reality.

Guys, come on. LEts keept eh post to point here. We have genuine concerns and thanks for UMI for at least giving their side of the story. It is what it is an i suppose we learn from experience. Lets keep it professional though.

Love to see how an S7 falls without damage /scratches or any $600 phone.  The fact you have phone that costs a third or so of the price you should count your lucky stars you didn't buy that $600 phone and drop it or put keys in the same pocket.  If you wanted something tough and strong then maybe you should have bought a Samsung B2710

If you have a plastic screen protector installed, the gorilla glass won't make it tougher. On the other hand if we talk about glass, you can't scratch even a simple window glass with metallic keys. So if you don't have a plastic screen protector and only metallic keys were involved, then something is not okay with this story.

\n\nAlmost a month ago I had reported a similar problem: two unexplained scratches... he had never come in contact with keys or hard materials, always kept in soft case...

but the problem is overcome because two days ago my Super (in the original flip cover) is dropped onto floor and front glass is cracked...

I've already broken one phone screen with a very short drop, but have bought another one. I will then 'test' the old broken one and make a video to see how easy it is to 'scratch' within the gorilla glass guidelines. Based on user experiences here, i am very concerned and hope i have spent money on two phones which have falsely represented specifications.

indeed doesn't feel like gorilla glass and that video above shows it, gorilla glass doesn't scratch that fast. I wonder about the rest they lied about.
