So I am a proud owner of the UMI Hammer S (seriosuly for the price its one of the best phones I have ever had)

My question is what is the plan for its future, are UMI moving away from it now and starting to retire it?
I would love to see an android 6.0 update, or even a hammer S V2 with some updated hardware.

On another note where can I get spare parts for it? Screen, battery etc.

I have dropped mine and there is a huge black dot on the screen all the time so it could do with a new screen.

Thanks for your time,
Matt.

Dear,
I'm sorry to tell you we have suspend this project, we don't have any accessories of Umi Hammer S in stock now.
Sorry, dear, I can't help you.

"Suspend" implies temporary, I suspect you mean "End" this project.

Most reputable companies provide support for up to 5 years, not 10 months?? Then bring out another, multitude of phones, with similar problems.

3 major faults are on this phone, with project ended??
1. google play error "this device is unsupported"
2. GPS weak and unreliable
3. Wifi drops out frequently.

otherwise the phone is REALLY good. My son saw the screen and thought it was far better than his Samsung!

Its a real shame, so easy to fix problems are swept under the carpet (that means ignored)

Dear Matt,

You still can buy some spare parts for Hammer S but I'm not sure if a replacement part of the screen is worth the price.

Android 6 upgrade won't be released for neither this nor for other older models. The Hammer line probably will be continued.

Deer creek,
As Jojo wanted to say, this model is discontinued (hope this word is correct), so it won't get further updates. However, the latest version still enjoys full compatibility with any common applications. The level of the available support primarily depends on power. Since UMI is promising but not such a powerful brand yet, they can win the market by their prices, design and features, not by a high level of support since that would need a such high investigation, that they can't afford yet. Regardless of this state, all UMI products are still covered by 1 year warranty, so if you have unacceptable issues, you can request to replace your phone by a new one or to repair the existing one.

Bence
