Hi all,

I bought a VR Box off Aliexpress and was hoping that it would work with my Hammer S, however it does not have the gyro fitted, so that rules out the VR headset working with head movements. I have tried to use VR apps , but it appears that you need Google Cardboard for most of them to work. Has anyone else had any joy with getting any VR apps to work with the Hammer S? If you have could you point me in the direction of these apps please.

I'm afraid, you've just given the answer to your own question. You can't use VR apps with missing gyro sensor. You can use any kind if VR boxes/glasses but a built-in gyro sensor cannot be substituted by anything else. You still can watch 3D movies with you Hammer S but nothing more.

As bencebacsi said, 360° experience moving head with VR glasses only will work with a phone with gyroscope. Is not problem about different apps compatibles with Hammer S, is specific problem woth non existent gyroscope.
