Brand New Umi Iron from Amazon (UK) NO SIGNAL HELP !

Bought a new Umi Iron to replace my ZTE S6 Blade....

Put my 2 Sims in (EE and O2) (Im in the UK) No Service with both !

Tried anoter 2 networks and still the same !

Tried the Root and Unroot app to see if any difference, still the same....

Factory reset again and no change..... My Sims are back in the Blade and all is well....

HELP !

PS I checked the IMEI and not blocked in the UK

\n\nTry to set 2G or 3G as preferred network. UMI Iron does not work on most european 4G networks. 4G is enabled by default.

Even if the 4G network is set to available on your phone, it should work with 2G/3G networks as well. Are you sure, you've inserted your SIM cards in the right direction? Try to make an emergency call without SIM cards installed, and let's see if that works or not.

It should but it doesn't. I had the exact same problem when I first turned on my device and that was the solution.Besides, calling emergency numbers without sim is not possible in UK and other european countries.

Sim Cards are defo inserted correctly, Phone detects Sim 1 as Vodafone and displays the number and asks what preference it needs
same as my ZTE S6 Dual Sim

Sim 2 displays EE and phone number etc

But on top of screen  No signal shows on either Sim, no emergency calls can be made !

HELP !

So after reading through a few posts on here, it seems UMI don't give a tosser about helping out with problems !

I asked this same message on Facebook and got no real help there also.....

A shame really but I think i'd be best sticking to ZTE or similair....

Well my problem was solved today, I contacted Amazon who were very helpful, they have refunded my £109.99 and told me to throw the piece of junk in the bin ! Very surprised, I thought they would have wanted the handset to be returned.... So I have a mini tablet for free.....

I'll have a play about with the engineering menus when i'm not so busy and see if I can get any results, thatks for the comments anyway, none were any real help i'm afraid....

PS If anyone needs a new battery or screen, case /housing etc LMK, I may just split this for spares for Ebay

I suggest you to install the latest ROM with SP Flash Tool, choosing the 'Firmware Upgrade' option, not just 'Download Only'.

If that doesn't help, then it's possible that the GSM antenna of your phone is not connected to the motherboard for some reason. In that case your phone should be disassembled to check and adjust it if needed. UMI Iron supports all kinds of UK networks, of course, except the b20 (800MHz) LTE frequency.
