This is the SP Flash Tool release of the

V7.01_20171023 Android 7.1.1 system software

for UMIDIGI Z Pro

Flash tool operation is recommended for experienced users only. Do not use it if you cannot understand the whole process!

UMIDIGI Z Pro receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. You need this tool only in case of emergency (if you've bricked your phone), if you want to apply a clean install or if you want to clear all root access and custom recovery to make your phone able to receive FOTA updates again. Another reason can be if you experience unexpected issues after updating via FOTA.

Attention!

Always flash this ROM as 'Firmware Upgrade', not 'Download Only' if you are upgrading an Android 6.0 system version!

Extract the .rar file before use. The scatter file (MT6797_Android_scatter.txt) is inside the extracted folder, together with the other components

VCOM driver: Windows 10 can automatically install it. Please make sure that your Windows is logged in with administrator rights and your computer has a working internet connection when first time connecting your phone.

Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMIDIGI Z Pro if the standard method doesn't work.

It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop

1. Connect your UMIDIGI Z Pro to USB.

2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.

3. Press and keep pressed the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.

4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.

Kind request from users:
Please report any kind of new issues you experience after installing this update only if you've already flashed this ROM with SP Flash Tool in Firmware Upgrade mode. In rare cases a FOTA update can cause more or less serious malfunctions but that means only the update process went wrong, not a badly developed ROM. An updated stock ROM, especially related to the basic functions will not cause any new issues but will solve some of the existing ones.

it's the software to blame, don't worry, just live with that till the next update... I still hope there will be an update to fix at least this problem, it's annoying !

Each ROM version provided here is compatible with all UMIDIGI Z Pro phones. You can install any of them. Of course, the latest one is recommended.

I just cheked right now and it works properly. It's not a powerful LED of course, but it can add some light in completely dark conditions.

Great! Thank you for the new update. Hope this update to fix the touch screen issues that some users had with the past update.

Does this phone will be upgradeable to Android 8.0 (if MTK allows it)?

Also, I would like to say that this phone has too much potential, too much essence and too much excellence; please don't let it die as it have the same or more amount of users than the UMIDIGI S2 has and too much people are disappointed because you doesn't give support to this phone but I know it's just a misunderstood, you would not let this great technology masterpiece die.

security patch is still for June
Network Issue is still remain
Touch is also still buggy
Aida 64 still show charging as discharging and vice versa ( Might be app issue)
