Hello there,
I really hope that this forum helps.
It's a shame that there are these small issues to an otherwise fantastic phone.

Here is my issue:

Status:
Have 4G (LTE?) on Rogers network in Canada (AT&T equivalent in USA)
Can browse and download perfectly fine
There was a time where the phone knew how to switch from 4G to 3G to place calls, but now it stays at 4G
Tried changing many apn settings but did not help.
Tried changing the preferred network to 3G but did not get connection at all.

Symptoms:
Unable to place calls or receive calls even tho I have 4G
Unable to text or receive text (still says on 4G)
When I dial out, it says "Call Ended immediately (no ringing or anything)
I currently need to use the second sim slot because the first one is jammed by another card (long story, but I cant eject the sim tray fully. I also can't open the back with the aim tray still in).

Any ideas? Any solution?
Thanks!

This issue is now SOLVED:

I tried using three different SIM cards from Rogers.
The first two were newer, they had the recent "SureTap" feature which might have prevented the SIM card to work properly.  I also notified the Rogers assistant (who helped with activating my SIM) that I was using it on a Rogers Galaxy S6 (which I did).  It worked!  This new SIM Card does not have the SureTap, and it was able to connect finally to 4G, 3G, and 2G.

The only complaint now, is that the reception is not good.  I can sometimes lose signal when I am indoors although I am on a GSM network with Rogers.  My guess is that this is related to the phone hardware.

Hope this helps others out there!

Hi Jdashl,

I reported your issue to UMI and they suggest you to contact your reseller if the reception problem is serious. Yes, that's probably hardware related, so can be solved only by repairing or replacing your phone.
