6.95mm UMIDIGI Z1 & Z1 Pro Full Specs Unveiled, 4000mAh and More!

The wait is over! The new flagship from UMIDIGI, both UMIDIGI Z1 and Z1 Pro were officially launched today at 10am GMT+2. This is the season of Android flagships, your attention must turn now to UMIDIGI, the rapidly rising smartphone company.

You already have known quite a few about the new flagship from UMIDIGI. Thanks to the leaked specs and renderings, you already know the phone will have a high power-efficient chipset, an awesome camera, elegant smooth design and a super thin body packed with big battery. Now finally here are the officially released details of UMIDIGI Z1 and Z1 Pro that you’re expecting to know.

UMIDIGI Z1 & Z1 Pro Display and Design
UMIDIGI has always put a premium on design, same on the Z1 & Z1 Pro. In press leaked photos by the company, the handset’s rear design moves the camera to the upper left corner like on the iPhone, rather than keeping it centered. The antenna lines remain, meaning the back is made of aluminum and not glass.

Although on the front, UMIDIGI embraces the bezel-less features for the left and right sides, that all-screen bezel-less phone from UMIDIGI (Crystal) is set to be released later this year. But with UMIDIGI Z1 & Z1 Pro, you still can get a silky bezel-less-like hand feeling and display mode. Apart, a 5.5” Full HD 1920x1080 resolution display, pill-shaped home button/fingerprint sensor and the 3.5mm headphone jack on the top edge of the device is present.

What's noticeable is the different screen materials applied on Z1 and Z1 Pro. On UMIDIGI Z1, it’s the regular but decent 5.5” LCD display. But for Z1 Pro, UMIDIGI managed to apply AMOLED screen display, the latest and finest smartphone display panel so far with the superiority in color saturation, thinness and power consumption over LCD panels. Only a few smartphone manufacturers are able to apply AMOLED panels now, UMIDIGI is one of the forerunners. AMOLED is also one of the key reasons that Z1 Pro can go down to 6.95mm thinness, while the LCD screen Z1 is 8.2mm.

UMIDIGI Z1 & Z1 Pro Camera
Dual-lens camera are installed on both Z1 & Z1 Pro with the combination of 13MP + 5MP cameras. With more light absorbed and more clarity, the dual 13MP + 5MP rear camera captures lively life moments in the highest definition to empower your inner photographer. You can expect image quality and rendering power that every photo fanatic deserves from a top-of-the-line phone.

Specs and Performance
Now here comes one of the most concerned details of the device.
Mediatek's Highest power-efficient Processor, the MT6757 with authentic Octa-core clocked at 2.3Ghz is going to be used in UMIDIGI Z1 and Z1 Pro. The MediaTek MT6757 is built with 16nm process node and offers 25% better power efficiency, higher processing performance and our most advanced camera / video features to date. MediaTek MT6757 also offers significant multitasking and multimedia improvements thanks to its new LPDDR4X memory support.
Both Z1 & Z1 Pro are packed with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM. Z1 Pro was supposed to be 8GB RAM, but due to lack of supply, which will lead to delay in production, UMIDIGI decided to release both Z1 and Z1 PRO with 6GB RAM at the same time as promised.
Now here’s the screamer, a whopping 6.95mm thin body with 4000mAh mighty battery!

Edited by rolandvb at 2017-6-21 07:00 \n\nvery dissapointed in the final given specs and to me the high price is not justified at all
the z1 is certainly not a phone with flagship aspirations ,i fact is is a downgrade on some points v.s the Z
it seems almost a joke
boasting about a amoled screen makes also no sense at all , even a doogee mix of $179 has a super amoled screen and even
a faster x25 processor and borderless.
also the besel of the z1 is still to thick and in fact not borderless at all
i guess i will look into what other brands has to offer .i am afraid i will also will be very dissapointed in the specs of the coming crystal
Umidigi has dissapointed me to often now and i think i will buy me something else with beter specs for less money with comparable build quality or even better. i am sorry umidigi the z1 has certainly no flagship specs and in my eyes to expensive for these specs

Well, UMIDIGI knows how marketing works.
For weeks we were all curious and raised great expectations.
I see no spectacular innovations at Z1 and Z1 Pro.

This is evolution. (tiny change)
I'm waiting for a revolution. (outstanding innovation, a great USP)

Which camera is used (manufacturer, type)?

I own a UMI Super and a UMIDIGI Z Pro.
Why should I buy a Z1 or Z1 Pro?

Where are the outstanding benefits?
A thinner housing for me is no advantage.
An AMOLED display I need not necessarily.
A larger RAM is better only on the paper.

What you do is evolution. I'm waiting for a revolution.
I'm waiting for a really outstanding smartphone,
which is not only great in the Prospet, but also convinces me in reality.

After going through all the specifications i only found 2 items that could of been improved , the cameras at least should be the same as the Z PRO AND ALSO IT COULD BE A P25 OR X27 , just like the Z PRO , the rest is all good . Congratulations.
