Either its part of their marketing which in this case is not really a smart move (starting to lose interest as well trust in this product) or they are struggling hard developing the Crystal.
UMIDIGI...come on...you owe us an update what is happening with this model! Just stay transparent and straight forward.
UMIDIGI's own statement on their website makes me doubt sometimes:
"Customer-centered"We co-develop products with customers based on their feedback on both the hardware and software user experience. UMIDIGI has adopted a strategy of rapid release for smartphone development and releasing firmware updates."
