UMIDIGI Z1/Z1 Pro, A Fine Work of Technology and Design
Press Release on 19th June

The coming new flagship phone from UMIDIGI, UMIDIGI Z1 is set for a launch on 19th June, and will be revealed together with Z1 Pro. The UMIDIGI Z1 Pro will come with a decent 5.5-inch AMOLED display screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

UMIDIGI Z1 Pro is nailing the design with exceptional progression in technology. We can tell from the photos that the back of UMIDIGI Z1 Pro is an integrated unibody with antenna lines seamlessly injected in as a whole piece. A unity of smoothness and completeness feeling is what it can offer. The 6.95mm super slim body is possible to be created through structural and technical innovations. This super low thickness is achieved by re-engineering 4 major parts. First is the AMOLED screen, which enables the screen to be much thinner. Then followed by the new battery design, that also comes with thinner size. As a further innovation, UMIDIGI also managed to significantly reduce the thickness through the novel and refined tube design inside the body and the near-jointless assembling of the precision components. With the slim and silky lines, UMIDIGI Z1 Pro can be a comfortable and light grip in hand.

Under the hood, this phone is expected to be shipped with a decent package that contains 6GB of RAM, Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and an anticipating big battery. Above all these specs, The 6.95mm super thin body is making UMIDIGI Z1 Pro presumably the thinnest big battery phone.

Full details of UMIDIGI Z1 and Z1 Pro will be revealed soon on 19th June, now you can get a closer look of UMIDIGI Z1 Pro on our official website, along with $9.99 subscription and giveaway available here: http://www.umidigi.com/page-umidigi_z1_activity.html

I am constantly wondering what ( sane ) things people use all that processing power for.

Some one might say, well i game a lot on my phone, and yes that do take some power just like gaming on anything else, but personally i find it monumental stupid to game on such a little screen, just like i feel like watching movies on it is.

My needs could be fulfilled by a good quadcore CPU ( on the phone ! on PC the new +8 core AMD Threadripper CPU's got me panting hard as my quadcore core I 7 CPU are struggling editing videos not least 4K ones )

But it also seem for many people something a simple as a phone are a fashion statement, which to me is also monumental stupid, and rest assure i tell that to the unfortunate people in my family ( my little sisters 2 young girls ) that are users of phones from that fruit company.

No i dont think so, but the full specs should be released, and im a old geek / tech writer so even my favorite hate devises ( phones ) i still keep a little eye on.
Okay not so much as when i was a tech writer on a Danish site, you can only do 6 hours of daily work for free for so many years.

Edited by seb23100 at 2017-6-16 23:37 \n\nAccording to the news, this phone will have Mediatek Helio P20 (MT6757), so i have to ask why Helio P20 for an $299 LCD screen Umi Z1 and for an $499 AMOLED screen umi Z1 Pro? Are you kidding us? Where is the Snapdragon 835 umi Crystal Plus and the 8gb Umi Z1 pro?

If that P20 are true then that's for the regular model, you cant get by with a pro phone with a p20 chip in it, that got to be P30 at least in the pro.

But i even doubt the P20 on the regular D1, cuz then you should be looking at other UMI phones at that prize range.

All very confusing, and also why i dont bother much.

We will know on Monday.

As designers / cloners you are very good, what I do not understand as you are central in that matter and you leave the quality of the components, such as bad rear cameras, batteries that explode in less than 2 months, etc, etc, etc ... It's not all in the design

I've already published the first stock ROM for Z1 but it seems to be a Helio P25 ROM, so this case is confusing even for me. I'm waiting for further info and/or for a test device.

Well if i could be so lucky to get a chance to buy it really cheap then sure, otherwise with my new Z phone there are no ( in my world ) sane reason to buy a new phone.

Biggest thing for me is the amoled screen and the CGG4, and the larger battery are also fine though the way i use a phone i already get 4 days on my Z phone.

Is it just me there seem to be no mention of the front camera ??
