Did OP fiddle around with settings in the Engineering mode/developers options?

If not, yes, the fla ...

It would be good to receive feedback on our suggestions for future reference. I feel like a bloody parrot telling people to reflash their firmware. Too much like the Windows solution of a reboot to fix any problem. When I got my Z Pro I resisted the temptation to reflash the ROM when I took it out the box but decided to give it a week of work first. Out of the box it was pretty good, much better than my Touch was which had lots of niggling problems.

Standard answer these weird UMi problems seems to to reflash the ROM. I only know what I know and I know that my UMi Touch wouldn't play downloaded games like Pokemon Go until I did that. My Z Pro seemed OK out the box but it has been reflashed too while I was reviewing the Android 7 Beta release. It seemed to run faster and had better battery life after I restored it to the the 20170408 issue of the ROM. Instructions and downloads here if you want to try. http://community.umidigi.com/thread-8488-1-1.html I carefully followed the instructions and had no dramas. Standard warnings about bricking your phone apply. Do not use the 20170417 ROM unless you have an aftermarket battery and at this point don't be tempted to try the Android 7 Beta as it will be an OTA update shortly. Hope this helps.

If not, yes, the flash helps. I didn't have major problems but after flashing, it worked better.

Hope to hear from OP if managed to recover from situation.
