Sorry for creating a new thread, but I've been trying to read everything on this forum, and can't figure out why I can't install android 6 on my UMI Super after the update to android 7. The threads are completely filled with offtopic questions and jargon words I can´t understand... So, if anyone could please help me with a simple tutorial I'd be very grateful.

Things I've done so far:
- downloaded ROM, SPFT and drivers from here: http://community.umidigi.com/thread-5765-1-1.html
- tried to install those drivers on my laptop (a Lenovo ideapad300 with win10) and could not. Went here: http://community.umidigi.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=11 and installed those drivers. Still nothing...
- enabled USB debugging on phone, disabled signature validation on laptop... still nothing. Tried another laptop (win10), and nothing...
- did a factory reset from android recovery mode, tried everything above, and nothing...

My laptop can recognize the UMI Super when it is on, but it can't when it is off...

Am I doing anything wrong, or is there a problem with the drivers or with the phone?

Is there a way to do this from the phone, without using a computer? Also, I have a laptop with Ubuntu. Are ther tools to do it from Ubuntu? (note: I'm just a regular user on linux... Can't do much more than install, open and close software ,lol)

Thanks in advance

Bruno

Hi
Please follow this SPFT instruction
http://community.umidigi.com/thread-11-1-1.html
And here you have all available ROMs
http://community.umidigi.com/forum-134-1.html
In ROM section you have all drivers attached to each thread.
If you have installed any other smartphone driver you need delete and install only for umi super.
SPFT only work with phone switched off and sometimes volume up or down will start flashing after connecting to PC.
Definitely your phone will be not visible while is off but SPFT should pick up.

Thanks

However, the result was the same... I can't really understand wich are the correct drivers I need to install.
One of the links on the page you gave me is broken, and I can't find the mt6592 vcom drivers... installed the drivers on the rom page, and nothing. Installed pdanet, and still nothing...The device manager didn't show the device when I connect it, and, after installing the drivers, it says the drivers are up to date. However, SPFT doesn't recognize it...

I think I'll have to revive an old win xp laptop to try again.......
