I'm currently using the eragon rom 4.8 on my Umi super (ported rom from the elephone 9000) this rom is just to good for me to wanting to upgrade to Nougat. There's no GPS problems or dark camera issue on this rom and I have full systemless root with a systemless xposed running like a charm. Furthermore my phone no longer gets overheatet like it did on Umis stock roms. Battery life is also great, i get 9 hours SOT. It's hands down the best Android experience i had on the umi super. Download the rom on this site, scroll down to the eragon ported rom. (use chrome to translate the site since its in Russian.) You need TWRP installed as your recovery since this is a rom you flash. http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=776482&st=60
If you rather just download it without reading the different tweaks that make this ported rom DA BOMB, just download it here and flash it through TWRP: https://yadi.sk/d/YkOTkDNLyBYqp

Just set the fingerprints scanner to off for now maybe umi fixes it with nougat update. My umi run ...
No, all such issues are related to unique software or (in a worse case) hardware defections. If nothing else helps, I suggest you to flash the latest ROM with the 'Format All + Download' option to surely clear all old sensor data. However, if you do so, after flashing you have to re-set your original IMEI numbers with the SN Writer Tool.
Sorry but that ain't gonna do it for as a satisfying solution. My Umi is 100% original. I mean all is stock, I consider all that doesn't work not solvable by using that tool. It has to be with ota. I'm sure not going to use my computer to solve a problem that I didn't create. The fingerprint sensor may be OK is some case but in some other cases is not. I already did a hard reset and that didn't do squat for me. So if the issue isn't fixed with an ota then I can live with it. What's next? Me changing parts of a phone that has warranty?
Again I say I rather live with it than having to mess it it.
How did you flash your phone? Choosing "Download only", "Firmware update" or "Format All + Download" like bencebacsi suggested? Because I've had the two first methods and didn't solve fingerprint.

Just to check because my days on flashing are somewhat prehistoric. Isn't it possible to flash the twrp recovery with adb commands? Adb flash recovery recovery.img? Just checking.
