i disabled the location/GPS and it is still the same. I woke up today to find 261% and 17% on the battery in airplane mode.
I agree with tequila, that previous version was better with the battery drainage, their bug fixes made it worst.

I dont see wifi drain under the battery section any more after i turned off wifi and BT scanning, now i just have inactive phone and some Google services and then G-mail.
And its off course inactive phone that is on the top, i did get a phone call last night so i was kinda expecting to see a active phone listing too, but then again it was a nice short call just like i prefer them.

My experience with the updates so far:

Positive:
-Fingerprint sensor is faster and more accurate (misses less times)
-Gyro is fixed, no problem here

Negatives:
-Camera: the focus is still buggy but now it takes a full second between clicking the shutter button and it actually taking the picture, before was way faster.

Still need some tweak:
-Bluetooth call: for some reason, I cannot use any bluetooth device to make calls (a user here said that a factory reset would fix that, not confirmed yet)
- Battery life/drain: this one is confusing, after the update the battery lasted for 3 days, but then sometimes it drains a lot of battery in idle, but I'm noticing that usualy it drains around 10% of battery overnight, wich I still think is a lot.

Def worse batterylife with the new update. Bluetooth is buggy. Other than that, it's a good update so far.

i tried it over night, flight mode
--> no percentage lost.

I noticed for myself, the double Tab function seems to keep the system a little bit alive.
I can only see:
all have the same HW
all have the same SW
--> not everybody has all the same Apps and settings.
--> so it is a bad combination of settings and Apps.
--> I did a factory reset to get rid of maybe a bad updating.
--> for me it is good.


--> for sure the calculation of battery usage is totally messed up and need to be fixed...

my usage yesterday:
browsing 2h
MP3 listing 1,5h(screen off)
45minutes Pokemon Go
a little bit playing around,
camera some pics
watching some short videos (20minutes)

\n\nWhile what you say sounds reasonable, in my case I did not make any changes in settings, not installed any new applications, not using the double tap to wake up the phone. Yet my battery consumption is significantly worse than prior to the update.
It needs to be something fishy with any of the system processes.

+1 tequila, same here. they have a 100% battery drainage problem which they need to address.
Things should not be complicated with good products, it either works well or it doesn't - and with this device it just doesn't, bug over bug.

I've found a solution for the fast battery drain which is working for me.  I've deactivated the VoLTE option. I don't have this feature in my mobile contract. The drain is now below 1% per hour.  Before  it was 2.6% in standby mode. You can find this option here: Einstellungen.. Mehr.. Mobilfunknetze.. Erweiterter 4G LTE-Modus.. - - Off
