Sorry but an android 7.0 beta testing program for UMi MAX was not promised and won't be started but it will receive the final version.

Also, could we have ambient display available, or is it highly improbable?

I have one Dumb and one Smart Question. First Question is, did we get a Night Mode to UMi Super Android 7.0, and the Dumb Question, did we recive (<- don't know how to write this) Android 7.1/7.1.1

if the phone is powered down, not restarted, the ringtone and notification sounds reset to default, could you verify the issue please, thanks

The MAX update will be released a little bit later according to the latest information I have. The ambient display can save power on OLED screen but it has no effect if used with LCD screens, so it won't be applied, sorry.

It works.
We don't know about the future of 7.1.x yet, sorry.

If you use custom ringtones and notification sounds, copy them to the internal storage and pick them up from there. The best option to copy them to the Ringtones folder. The sd card gets mounted after the system initialization finished, so this case won't be changed in the final release. Store your ringtones in the internal memory. I can confirm that, custom ringtones and notification sounds chosen from the internal memory will be kept in settings after powering off and on your phone.

I haven't installed the beta - still avoiding flashing & rooting - but if anyone on the beta can test or confirm if the beta ROM has Daydream VR enabled I would really appreciate it.

The usual way of getting Daydream apps from the Play Store & playing them in a Daydream View would be awesome, otherwise if you have root or system access you can follow the steps that force Daydream compatibility on any Nougat device and simply peek into /system/etc/permissions and read if the handheld_core_hardware.xml file has the lines "<feature name="android.software.vr.mode" />" and "<feature name="android.hardware.vr.high_performance" />". Thanks again! Looking forward to an OTA release!

Actually I was not thinking of it being on all the time, just when a notification arrives, as on the OnePlus 2 (that has an IPS panel as well)
