I must comment: I was just going to give back my Power 3 to Banggood for a refund due to the audio cuts and lost calls issues when I found at this blog but in another thread that someone solved the issues by just disabling the Google Assistant. It sounds wird, but I decided to try the same and it was magic: After disabling the Assistant for this phone from my Google account no more problems faced since two months ago.
So I recommend Umidigi developers to take a look at it. Because the Assistant is useless to me, I'm happy with my phone now.
Because yet the audio from speaker was a bit low and I liked more bass content I tried to install an equalizer app, but this didn't worked with a warning that another audio effects app was running and I should disable it. Digging a bit I found an old app dated 2003 named Music FX that came by default with the phone's firmware. I stopped it but the app restarts as soon as any media content is reproduced. I'm affraid to de-install it, but it seems to me that a so old app should have compatibility issues with Android 10. May it be the root of the audio issues ? |
