It's time to provide you with a feedback.
I have factory reseted the device, switched it off for 10 minutes, fully charged the phone and left it on a standby overnight (WiFi, BT, mobile data, location etc. are all switched off).
I haven't installed any software, just factory defaults.
From 11pm to 8am battery level stopped at 97%.
This is the only situation at which UMI Z has a descent, but still very average consumption.
As soon as you install the real world applications (Outlook for Android connected with exchange server, Calendar connected with Google Calendar, Gmail connected to Google account etc.) overnight standby consumes at least 10% of the battery (WiFi, BT, mobile data, location etc. are all switched off as well).
This picture ilustrates the same conditions but from 4 pm to 8 am (everything swithced off, phone not used at all, left just on a standby).
18% consumption for 16 hours in a standby mode.
My conclusion:
- Developers need to put a really serious work to make a better optimization which should lead into satisfactory battery life.
- Since I am not a demanding user (I do not rely much on WiFi, BT, mobile data, location and similar) the current battery life is below the average having in mind the advertising on the UMI Z web page.
