I hope we'll get a SPFT update before mid february. Then again, i wouldnt bet on it.

There is no ROM released on 20160810 for the Umi Max. The first release according to the OP for the Umi Max Rom was released on 20160819. All the roms for Umi Max can be found here: http://community.umidigi.com/forum-133-1.html

Many of us got the shiny new phone with 20160810 ROM. (e.g. like me and my broter in law). And really , with this rom was almost perfect the fingerprint scanner.

i don't know how is posible to not work a fingerprint .......you have and not use becouse not working ,i'm a suprised for a umidigi support team realy for few days i'm back to my nexus 5, becouse sell samsung galaxy s5

Please tell the development team to sign the ROM using release keys before shipping the final! More and more (it seems) "critical" apps (like banking apps, and some versions of the Wear Companion app) seems to check this, and refuse to run, rejecting the device as "tampered with" if it's signed with test keys.

Please don't forget about this! UMI phones gained huge attention for being cheap and powerful Pokemon GO machines, and now they're incompatible with Pokemon GO because the app upgraded its security checks.

If you use security sensitive apps, always use the latest official ROM version (that you can get via FOTA) and don't flash with SPFT. The latest such rom is the V3.02_20161017 version and Pokémon Go still runs properly on it.

why is the spft version different to the fota, or, the spft cures issues that may be present in the fota?

I would like to understand why it´s a different version as well.

And I don't get it why UMI makes us do a difficult procedure and why the FOTA update do not work properly from the start. Not all of us are tech savvy.

I see absolutely no reason for the FOTA version being signed with release keys, and the SPFT version signed with test keys. They ought to be as close to identical as possible, to avoid one more variable when we're trying to figure out why things don't work as expected.

So, on v 7 os problem with Bluetooth, disconects and reconnects all the time (bt earpiece)
