Have done also the update two days ago without resetting it to the factory defaults after.
Things I've noticed that are different from the previous update:

Turning on/off the WiFi from the quick setup menu is work with battery saving mode and not having to turn it off from the saving mode too.

Auto focus still crap, further more when trying to focus in the center of the photo, the objects on the edge of the photo becomes for a second gray and then changed back to it's color.

3G/4G the changing between the two bands is not so often as before, but still there are some short periods up to 2 sec. when I do not have any signal or the browsing is stuck although in the status bar the signal is full.

GPS, when navigating on the road is fair enough, seems the speed is accurate now ( have used Waze ). On open field is not too precise, didn't had the patience to wait for too long and see if is stabilize at some point.

Battery is better, guess that is due to the fact that the radio frequency is not changing so often.

     Thanks a lot for your instant reply. Your suggestion worked like a charm...! I still dont understand why this should occur, but at least now I know what I should try as first resolution step in case such an error occurs in any future update. Thanks once again and have a nice day ahead

Edit : there's a problem in Battery saving mode, if you choose another profile that MY Mode, you can't have the same brightness even in 100% of luminosity !!

GPS is definitely worse than before and is now completely unusable. As others have reported, touchscreen sensitivity is also worse. Another problem is Android Auto. Before the update, it would randomly disconnect. Now it won't even connect (Using Android Auto on a VW Golf).

These updates feel like we're taking one step forward and three steps back.

Yes and UMI knows. It would make me happy if Umi could give us the kernel code for the phone, so developers could make custom roms.

Will there be (or is there already) a changelog for the update?

I feel pretty certain my GPS/GLONASS signal has improved alot since the new FOTA, the satellite signal strength bars seem to be alot higher than they were previously. Anyone else notice the same? Maybe it is just chance... but it would be useful to see the changelog to know whether GPS has been improved!

Can someone post the updated fota please so we can install as wireless install is not working correctly and even not working taking sd card out and trying ....

Touch sensivity is a completely disaster! Now we need to touch the screen very hard to do anything.
Fix the touchscreen. Work really bad. 2 updates ago the device work really good.
