Hi, sorry for hijacking this thread, but the forum isn't letting me create a topic of my own for some reason...

I recently dropped my UMI Super, cracking both the touch buttons, and the LCD screen. I managed to get a hold of a replacement from Ebay for around £25, and this afternoon i took my phone apart, reapplied adhesive tape, and fitted the new screen. Now everything works other than one thing; The proximity sensor seems to be broken, or is obscured? For example, i can only unlock my phone with fingerprint, the phone thinks the proximity sensor is triggering, and shows a screen mentioning "do not cover this part of the screen".

How can i fix this? For now, my screen at least works like new, and i can access via fingerprint, but i thought i'd ask here in case anyone might know? Thanks...

Did you not cover distance/light sensor with tape or maybe you lose grommet from this sensor.
I am nearly sure that you messed up something during replacing your screen.
If mechanically all is fine you should perform factory reset to match up screen and device hardware

(oh and btw can you tell me how to create a thread as well it would be nice)

This screen will work correctly with your device.
To open new thread you need have more points.

Hello it's me again,

I've bought a screen for my umi super from aliexpress, but it doesn't work... The screen has the same exact code as my original screen, but when i try to turn the screen on, nothing happens... The only thing that works is the glowing led which works perfectly fine, i'm pretty sure my phone works because the digiter to works (the phone vibrate when i touch it) and the alarm that i've set up even trigger and i managed to shut it with the sound button.

So i'm really wondering what's going on, it seems like umi just wants me to buy a new phone.

I sincerely appriciate any help given, thanks.

     My name is Kennedy. I'm from Brazil and I have a Umi Super cell phone. What is the difference between LCD + touch screens No. F-550028X2N-A, F-550028X2N-B and F-550028X2N-C ?
My Umi Super broke the screen and it is code F-550028X2N-B.
Here in Brazil I found the code F-550028X2N-C. Can I use this C model instead of my B model ?

Hi.Can someone who have experience with changing display and buying from AlieExpress recommend a good and quality Umi Super LCD seller on AlieExpress?
I want to order LCD display assembled.Lot of sellers have a really bad reviews and comments so i am not sure which one to pick.

Umi super is easy to replace.

YES you need replace  both digitiser and LCD.
I had replace the screen on Umi super phone and the store the replace it said  you must do both.
They tried replace just  LCD and said not not go as they must together
both digitiser and LCD

Now, after do this I did factory  reset and now every time I turn on the wifi it come going back to android screen. It like it 's stuck in a loop.
