I don't think this is due to rubbing. The white lines started appearing in a week's time, and in a week's time if not feasible to rub it more than 2000 times..
Big question is, how to get this fixed ?? UMI should bear the shipping cost for sending the phone back for repair.
I do have the smudge lines from the very beginning I pulled the phone from the box. At first I thought the screen was broken, but the I noticed it is caused by smudges on the screen. It is noticeable only when the display is off. It seems the oleophobic coating was poorly applied, or applied only to some portions of the screen. I hope the coating will eventually wear off and the lines would become less noticeable. It´s no biggie for me considering the price for which I got my Z. Still it is something you wouldn´t expect to happen with premium devices. Sorry for the off-topic btw.
