Does these changes just louder the sound or enhance ( improve listening experience )  the sound quality like other phones?
the sound of my UMI Plus is awful i had never ever before in any phone.
Please recomend me
(1) Music and video: the graphic equaliser will just work with off line or will also work with Online Sound like youtube, facebook videos if not what to do?
(2) In call voice: I have just change the values in engneering mode but its satisfactory.
(2) Ringing Sound Quality: what to do for best ringing sound ?

Edited by Andrew87 at 2017-1-18 21:37 \n\nDoes anyone know what to tweak under Speech Enhancement? I believe earpiece volume can be improved there.
EDIT: From my search online, many people seem to reference a 'Normal Mode' in Hardware Testing --> Audio. However, there is no such mode for me. The only options I see when I enter Hardware Testing --> Audio are:

  • Volume
  • Speech Enhancement
  • Debug Session
  • Speech Logger
  • Audio Logger
  • Audio Wake Lock

There's also mention of another 'Normal Mode' in Speech Enhancement that I can't seem to find. Both are crucial to improving earpiece sound.

Yes can somebody please post the exact setting to be changed for earpiece/call volume (not headset or headphones) because none of the settings posted on page one of this post worked for me when I tried them one-by-one.

OK I have been through every single UL GAIN setting on the Audio/Volume/Voice page and set them all to 252 (the maximum).
Also, all of the WB (wide band) settings I set them to the maximum too (same as the NB, Normal Band) ones.

The result: no change in the call volume, so what is the answer?

FYI here are the defaults for my UMI SUPER, because somebody else asked for them:

NB/WB/Receiver: 164
NB/WB/HAC: 72
NB/WB/Headset: 180
NB/WB/Headphone: 180
NB/WB/Speaker: 180
NB/WB/Headset 5-pole: 168
NB/WB/Headset 5-pole ANC: 168
NB/WB/TTY: 72
NB/WB/Lpbk_Handset: 164
NB/WB/Lpbk_Headset: 180
NB/WB/Lpbk_Handsfree: 180
