Maybe you have to reset factory data defaults on your smart watch to be able to pair it with a new  ...

No, I don't think so.

I tried 2 Umi Z to connect to two different watches. Did factory resets on all devices, tried it > 10 times, no success. Flashed both Z, still no chance.

The watches always stuck after connecting Bluetooth on the pairing number, falling back to startscreen after a few minutes.

Both watches could be paired on first try with a Google Nexus 4, a Samsung S5 Mini, a LG Z3 Compact and a Xiaomi Mi A1.

Which smartwatch model exactly do you have?

Did you try to pair your watches using Wear OS installed on your phone while your phone was connected to the internet?

Yes, with LAN and mobile network.

It's very obviously after many attempts. Every single paring with the Z1 (2 devices!) was unsuccessful, while every paring with an other mobile device was successful. Working as a software developer and android mobile expert for my company I'm very sure to have other error sources excluded.

Hi,
Sorry but phones with water inside cannot be repaired, except if you disassemble it in a few minutes and disconnect the battery. As a minimum your phone would need a new motherboard and screen, so the final costs would be higher than the price of a new device.
UMIDIGI is not yet officially present in India, we do not have a service center there.

Well, is there now a way I can get the default notification panel?
I don't wanna hear from you that I can root my phone and disable the black layer in the build.prop file because the notification panel is still black.
I just want the default one, from stock Android 7.1.1.
Can extract the latest ROM of the Umi Z and replace some UI elements from another 7.1.1 ROM that has the default one, and then flash it?

The stock ROM won't be touched anymore but a LineageOS custom ROM is planned to be released for the Z in July, maybe you'll like it. That should be Android 8.1 anyway.
