Yes, I agree. It's the best way to push them (UMI company) to relesase an update solving the battery problem. my battery was swollen before due to android 7 and I know that happend also to many other umi super owners. This is absolutely UMIDIGI's fault, they must accept the responsibility of their fault and release an improving update. By writing in this forum, anybody else out of forum won't know about this unkown brand and what is happening to UMI phones. If we write our complaint on facebook page of UMIDIGI and other social network, they cannot leave us alone because their reputation would be hurt. So, everybody, please write your complaing on UMIDIGI's page repeatedly to overcome thier inattention. thanks.

Forum is for sharing informations not for telling to people too striking. That why you will be baned if I see this again.
As I presume that you reading all roles etc. You should understand that whole warranty responsibility taking seller and you always should contact to seller.
Most sellers giving partially refund to cover battery cost which is around up to €12 but you can get for €8 too.
If you are not happy with Android 7.0 please use SPFT and come back to android 6.0
Here is SPFT instruction

I think you mean "if you're not happy with Android 7 you can go back to 6".
People are just getting frustrated by the lack of professionalism of umi. No news, buggy 7 that shouldn't be released in first place.
I go back to what I said before umi can be great (my umi with Android 6 does it's job) but this is a device that can be so much better. If sources are released.

Yes you are right I made mistake in typing.
We know well that there is few bugs in android 7.0 but everybody was informed about quick charging failure.
I know that umi max got another update but still quick charging not working correctly on some handsets.
I hoping that next update for umi super will be close to perfection but please not expect that will be without any bugs.
Also please understand that umi super and max was produced in very high volume which caused different suppliers delivering hardware which make small differences in hardware between device. Now is hard to develop one firmware which could include and fix differences between devices.
By my opinion every user should check every firmware and chose the best one for his device.
We know that quick charging is not working on every type of hardware on umi super but definitely latest umi max firmware fixing this issue on some hardware type.

Well we r all human and made mistakes. It's just that sending out a firmware that doesn't work as a ota is just  amateur work. As soon as I got the message of that update I said to Ben that he should inform the devs to stop the roll-out of the firmware over the air. This wasn't stopped with all the consequences of it.
People that used the spft after reading the change log shouldn't complain but the people that got the ota have every right to do it.
Just my opinion.

Whoever reads this forum should know that a7 is buggy as hell (it's not only quick charge) If you decide to upgrade to a7 risk that your phone will get damaged. For your own sake roll back to a6. It works fine and you can get the most from your super. Personally I'm hugely disappointed by umi and will never buy anything from them. Super was the most unreliable phone i have ever had. Now on one plus 3t and enjoy great product and outstanding support. Ps.... Leave your honest opinion re umi super on  other websites (trusted reviews, etc) as other potential buyers should be aware what they are buying.

Hi everyone,
I have a question: apparently, UMI doesn't have a plan to release update for SUPER anymore. Can I install Android 7 of UMI MAX on my SUPER? Their SoC, Ram, ROM, battery, display, camera are the same except quick charge that it doesn't matter to me. Please show me a way to do that. I don't want to come back to Android 6.0. It wasn't as beautiful, fast, fluent as Android 7.0. I wish Android 7.0 didn't have destroying battery problem.

Thank you ,
