Hello Guardian,

Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad to see somebody here reporting positive experiences, not just always the magnified problems. I have similar experiences as you and I've already used this model for 5 months. No freezes, no lags or random reboots, never. Maybe that's a 'little bit' more important than how the camera is noisy in dark conditions what you easily can correct with Photoshop if needed. I miss the lollipop upgrade a little bit because loosing the chance of the possible performance boost given by the 64-bit system (already proven by benchmarks), but I've never felt myself limited by the KitKat Android in any use of this phone.
So, just keep it up, you won't be disappointed by this stuff.

Edited by bseixas at 2015-12-5 20:08 \n\nWell i am trying the same ROM and it is better than the V05 official but has the same issues :

- Battery stats does not reset after unplug form charger or restarting the phone.

- For some reason, sometimes it does not go to sleep and keeps on 1170MHz mode with screen off.

Other issue about eMax that i do not understand is why my charger cable does not work together but they work with original charger/other cable or original cable/other charger.

UMI eMax good hardware and design but the software provided does not keep up with it, it lacks a really polished and tuned ROM that should be official and not from the community.

hello, I'm very happy with my e-max, but if he had a 64bit os would be perfect. You think seriously that the Umi never will?

Thanks, Maxbass

I think there's a very little chance to get a lollipop upgrade for the eMAX, but that's more than zero, of course. The suspension of the lollipop project has not yet been announced by UMI.

Of course UMI has not announced the suspension of Lollipop update and never will, this way they will sell a few extra units advertising as receiving the update to Lollipop, even with the hardware quality of eMax they would have a hard time selling them at 160$ stuck at Android 4.4.

The cold truth is that UMI lies to their costumers promising updates that they do not deliver and for the same price there are better brands in the market, regarding quality or software polish/update

Instead of releasing 7 smartphones in 2015, they should have launched 2 or 3 and provide decent support and deliver their promises.
