"It would be nice if the bug fixes were detailed instead of just stating 'Minor bugs fixes'"

To clarify something similar to https://youtu.be/8id9D2BKi8c?t=2m23s

thanks

Your rooted phone is not suitable to receive ota firmware update. Only unrooted phone will receive this update.
If you flash using tools you can keep USER DATA.

Sorry but you are wrong. I have my telephone rooted (root checker says so). And every morning when I turn on the mobile phone the latest update begins downloading. I read somewhere that it can happen but that if I update I will lose the root and I would have to root again. I want to know if that is true before updating.

Hi All,

The Umi(digi) Plus E I have was rooted (Jemini TWRP)

I installed the new rom thanks to this thread : http://community.umidigi.com/thread-6763-1-1.html

I unchecked "recovery" and "user data" in SPF Tools. And I flashed it.

I've lost root.

Now, you know.

What about updating from the recovery? Has anyone tried?

I think from recovery menu is the same as from Android menu. If you start from Android menu phone restart to recovery and start to do update. I think its the same. But this is my opinion.

I read around, Android 7 for Umi Plus E came out from the radar?
Umi continues to churn out new phones forgetting all others

Update, due to not using other apps for taking pictures I did not notice like everyone else has stated, that the camera is also dark for all 3rd party apps such Facebook Messenger, Instagram and Twitter including Snapchat as mentioned previously.

Recording in 4K automatically stops at 5 minutes, does anyone else have this problem?

I have recorded in FHD 1080p and this does not happen, it is only happening in 4K which surely is not normal?
