I took my phone off charge (100%) at 11pm last night, and at 8pm this morning it was at 95%. I've disabled wifi and bluetooth scanning as recommended above.

This rate of battery consumption would provide about 5 days of standby as long as I don't use the phone :-) The think that seems to kill the battery for me is actually using the phone. There's probably a lot of room for improvement in the choices of switching between high / low speed processor cores depending on system load, but I wonder if this is a feature of the Mediatek SDK rather than something that Umi can control?

I've got a fairly strong 4G signal here (104dBm 37asu), and Mediatek claim that the X27 adjusts its power usage based on mobile signal strength. Do people with high battery usage see lower signal strength?

While I was checking the signal strength, I noticed that my battery has gone from 95% to 92% in the last 2 hours....

I've a signal strength of - 115db, 25asu. Very poor.  Maybe this is the reason for the fast battery draining. Could anything be optimized in the MTK engineer mode concerning this?

So guys if you thinking that the battery drain is due to weak signal please go to settings and change to lower band and signal should recover. Settings - more - mobile networks - preferred network.
This what I can see from your network signal that is not to bad as you have very good asu only dB is high which probably give you a lot noise and poor data connection.
But as I said change to 3G and keeping eye for few days

3G is not available where I live.  If I don't use 4G, I'll have Edge which is horrible

I've found a solution for the fast battery drain which is working for me.  I've deactivated the VoLTE option. I don't have this feature in my mobile contract. The drain is now below 1% per hour.  Before  it was 2.6% in standby mode. You can find this option here: Einstellungen.. Mehr.. Mobilfunknetze.. Erweiterter 4G LTE-Modus.. - - Off

Hi. Try to install some calibration app, but you must do a root on your phone. My experience with UMI is that the software dont show percentage of battery correctly.

Hi
Sorry but I can't confirm that any app could calibration battery or battery indicator.
Definitely I can't confirm that umi phones have any problem with battery level calculations.

Hi
Full charge should take place in 1h and 30 - 40 minutes.
But as battery is brand new and system needs time to calibrate all data you should charge your battery from 1% to 100% with standby mode (no calls, no data on, no screen on, no wi-fi, etc but phone should be switch on and please don't let phone to switch off due to low battery level).
I presume that all should be fine in 3 to five full charging circuits.
