\n\nI think you briked the phone. You should reflash the phone USING FIRMWARE UPDATE NOT DOWNLOAD Only. If still it is not working try with the older firmware 20160513.

Like previously posted try an older rom version.

Flashing your phone can cause it to be bricked if you don't know what you're doing.

According to your screenshot, your computer might have a problem at handling its own hard disk, that finally could cause a wrong flashing. That's not about the phone or the flasher app. I suggest you to try with another PC and choose the Firmware Upgrade method, not the default Download Only.

Flashed older Rom 20160513 , 13 May Rom and OMG unbelievable everything works and phone booted once it had some charge.

Keypad is fully working, there seems to be No touchscreen issues

So now the question is why that happened on June 6 Rom, im scared to update the phone now :-)

I will test for a few days and try all the apps i use - hope its ok now I was going to the post office to send it back this afternoon if my flash didnt work.

Oh and the seller from Aliexpress where i brought it was Super helpful chatting with me on whatsapp for days trying to fix the problem and in the end said send it back, but i just thought id try the older rom to flash this morning and it worked !!!

Hi Zerodichris,

I'm facing exactly the same crazy problem. How can I try to fix it? Could you please support me? I'm a little bit worried, ,I hope that UMI will deliver a fix as soon as possible. In any case is so strange cause I updated to last release one week ago and the problem starts just today, then it seems that is not affecting alll UMI user, could be an hardware issue? Thanks in advance.

Hi , I fixed this issue with help from other members telling me to flash the first firmware which I believe is May 13 20160513

After some trying I got the ROM installed using spflashtools and instantly didn't have problems now I can report my Gf been using the phone for a few weeks and its rock solid no screen issues or anything else .

Just a bummer it doesn't get the latest security updates separate from ROM updates because we don't want to flash a ROM update in case it breaks the screen again but security updates would be most welcome

Hi, i updated my phone with FOTA the notification bar just keeps on coming down as if someone else is using the phone (ghost touches) I Restart the phone and it still happens on the lock screen you can see the notification panel just going crazy, can use the phone for more than a few seconds and the erritc behavour starts again.


I got into recovery Mode and Wiped Data / Factory reset upon booting up have same touch issues, google start/login screens just seem to skip back and forward, the select wifi screen the phone was choosing random wifi connections lol Its just going crazy

like i said its as if im not using the phone its activation the touchscreen by itsself,

What can I do ?  

Please Solve ASAP
