But how can it get an OTA update, when you can't get into the phone?
Thinking of flashing mine and setting up from scratch so I can at least use it, but don't know if that will make it worse?
I've kept GearBest in the loop with a link to this forum, hopefully they can apply pressure to get it fixed, as I expect they'll be taking most of the flak!

I am unable to get GooglePay to add any creditcards as it says this phone may be rooted or altered in some other way. Can anyone else get this working?  Main reason for this phone is for NFC for payments.

The best solution may be to make a video and make it go viral, that will put pressure for sure and prevent them on releasing stuff that doesn't work.

Oke, I don't have my Z2 pro yet but If these issues aren't fixed in a few days mine is also going to be send back, I have chosen mainly for the Z2 pro because of the NFC and if that isn't working properly it has no use for me. I liked the Umi Z which I still use and had high hopes of the Z2 pro, but all these issue with the rom are killing it.

Google Pay allows me to add a credit card ok here. I don't get the any rooted or altered message. In fact it can already see the 2 previous credit cards that were already in my google account and that have expired.

I still have the 0823 it came with. I didn't see any point in flashing 0830 as it doesn't have any fixes in it. I don't use GooglePay since my previous phones (The Z and Z Pro) didn't have NFC, so it wasn't available.

Once UmiDigi have some fixes in the ROM, I'm sure they will OTA it, so I'm happy to wait for that.

Never in my life have I ever had a brand new model phone that didn't have some issues with it that required OS updates, so I'm fairly chilled about it. That's the price you pay for being at the leading edge. Yes, it should be better, but we don't live in a perfect world and UmiDigi don't seem particularly better, or worse than any others in that respect IMO.

I have the same issue and do not have any solution to this ! Android 8.1 bug i guess but there is no Way to do a pipe date recovery mode with this Chinese menu

In call or out call , opposite side not hearing my voice.. but with hear phone they able to hear .. is this due to mic or any bug??... Anyone having this problem??... How to fix this...help me....
