I wrote wrong, the problem encountered is with the speaker of the phone that stays against the ear (receiver) during a call; it sometimes stops working not being a hardware problem.
Usually the receiver stops working after I turn the volume down during a call.
I am very satisfied with the mobile phone, I hope this problem does not repeat itself, thank you.
Use Plantronics wireless headset (€ 29) and Pioneer headset (€ 30).

Just the normal bug fixings.  Before the 0920 update was announced the Forum Admin has indicated the z2 pro was rectified in several fronts so it come as no surprise that UMI is trying to recover as much ground as possible after the big slip.

After installing the 0926 released today the only change I detect is the phone screen stay on permanently when I am doing a call.  Previously it switched the screen off when I place the phone close to my ear and switched back on as soon as the phone left my ear.  My wife's s2 pro is doing it exactly the same as we tested the phone by calling each other.

To me either situation is not a fault.

It is interesting to hear one z2 pro user found the proximity sensor was influenced by the glass film on the phone.  I accidentally removed the plastic film (I am pretty sure the stock protector wasn't glass as it has no regidity) and now have a third party tempered glass protector that does not seem to give me any bother regarding the proximity sensor function.

Anyways, I updated the Umidigi Z2 pro and the update shows "UMIDIGI_Z2_PRO_V1.0_20180823_20180926-1646". I could not find what was updated except that I noticed in camera module that "Bokeh" was replaced by "Stereo". Still trying to find out other changes.

If anyone else got this update, please give feedback so that everyone is benefitted.

Umidigi should give a writeup after each and every update so that we are made aware of the changes,

Further to the above, i request all the buyers of z2 pro to keep away from updating this above mentioned update (UMIDIGI_Z2_PRO_V1.0_20180823_20180926-1646) . I have now lost the capability of using voLTE. I am using Airtel and Jio sim cards. Now I am not able to place calls through Jio Network which was working earlier. Even people calling me on my Jio number gets a message that Phone is either 'switched off' or 'out of coverage area'. I tried my best but could not succeed in rectifying this error. Finally I decided to download an App called JIO4GVOICE to get the Jio sim working. I believe this update has degraded my phone here in India. Actually there was no need for me to use this app. Is anyone facing this problem? Please help for a fix. My new phone has given me enough problems which never happened when I used other cheap phones. I request Umidigi Admin to solve this problem through an OTA release for all.

Also on the proximity sensor front the phone now has the screen remains on during the call. Previously it witches off when the phone is close to the ear and switches on when away from the ear. I don't mind either siatuation.

The wifi has definitely got worse as my older s2 pro can freely switch between the 2.4 and 5 Ghz bands same as my laptop.

Hi, I noticed while playing around with the camera that I am not able to shoot video in 4K, is this something that will be addressed soon as it is one of the features that I used a lot on my old phone for works and it is a bit odd not to have it on a much newer phone that advertised 4K and a flagship camera as major features.

I can't seem to make a topic but can reply to posts, so I thought I'd post my issue here, if that's O.K.? -

When Miracasting, it won't fill the screen of the T.V. in landscape and when playing a video on Youtube. My previous phones do, so I gather it's a Umidigi issue?

Anyone got the same issue?

Have you tried downloading a 3rd party camera App that does 4k video?

Last update UMIDIGI_Z2_PRO_V1.0_20180823_20180926-1646 doesn't works on my phone. I downloaded it and when it's updating, I've an error message. Any one got the same ?
