But we can rest assured that it is up to the software "only".
This problem can be eliminated by an software update.
If UMi had installed a poor camera it would be worse.

I hope and believe that UMi can solve this problem soon.

The 5MP front camera is absolutely useless.
It is impossible to take a good photo with it.
All photos are blurred.
I think in this case the problem is mainly due to the camera.

Rest assured that this might not be fixed. Because it should have been done correctly from the beginning.

I know what you are saying, I tell myself all the time "its a cheap phone"
That does not mean that as customers do not have the right to hold Umi accountable for not living up to iys promises. I bought the phone on the promise of a good quality camera with many interesting features.
Umi thus far has failed to deliver but are still promoting this mythical super camera when they know it is flawed and missing promised features (ie Magic Focus).
Its a competitive market place, if you fail to meet the expectations that you promoted then expect plenty of criticism. Im hoping eventually some or most of these issues will be solved by software updates.
Time will tell.

pretty happy with my Super too, exept some minor flaws like:

google play music crates a SmallWindow error dialog all the time si i swit6ched to Spotify and solved the issue, too bad google...

metal is not as hard as it seemy, i've accidentally bended the top frame of the phone just by pulling out my audio jack too hard

camera is yellowish


Other than that i feel the battery is powerful enough to give me juice from morning to late past midnight so that  i can spend all day out untill sunset (very important during these summer days)

Audio quality from the jack output is pretty nice for a 200$ phone

Screen quality is amazing, very nice contrast, view angle is awsome, sensitivity is great!

Nice support from UMI which sent out 4 firmware updates already.

the problem is not if Umi is a Mercedes a BMW or a Dacia ....; if you declare a 13Mpx camera you have to give the customer a device able to realize that. We are not speaking abaut the quality of the matirial.... My Super, at the moment, is not able to realize a picture comparable with my previous phone, 8Mpx. I will wait but I need to receive more clear info from UMI too.

I expect at least that a phone for $ 200 works . And if I can not use some things that are completely normal , like GPS , then I have the phone nich compare with Samsung for 600 dollars and give me satisfied .

If you declare a Sony 13Mpx camera you have to provide it to the customer . Than we can discuss about color, brightness.... but not about the number of pixel. I'm comparing this with my previous phone (less then 200$, obviously). Furthermore the GPS jump from one Street to another ..., the 3G  signal is very poor (sometime no signal in a covered area), Never found a 4g connection....

@decrun : How is your ported rom working in daily use ? Do you see improvements on other issues liek GPS, sound volume ?
