By the 'Format All + Download' method you completely erased the software content of your phone and then a perefectly clean install was applied. Your phone probably has a hardware issue and if that came together with an update process, it was just an accidental coincident. Maybe that's just a bad connection of the fingerprint sensor module. It should be disconnected and reconnected by a skilled repairman.

Dear matkali,

Ten thousands of UMI Touch phones don't suffer from this issue or UMI's mailbox would be full of such complaints. I already flashed and updated my test device back and forth some dozens of times and disassembled then reassembled it about ten times but I never could manage to lose the fingerprint settings as well as nobody else at UMI. Accidental coincidences can happen and they happen. I didn't speak about beliefs.

I got my phone yesterday, the first start it asks for registering security options, so I tried registering fingerprint, but it did not work. Then I follow with pin.
After setting up my account went to check the security settings and the fingerprint option was there, I tried to set up but gave the fprintma error stopped working, I tried a few more times but to no avail.
The system reported to have available updates a 17MB package, I performed the update, the fingerprint configuration option was still there, but giving the same mistake, did not perform the reading and try to calibrate the fprintma error stopped working.
When installing my app's and configure my system accounts released another update, a 56 MB package, I performed the update, and after this update the configuration option> security> fingerprint gone.
Have not tried the procedures mentioned in the forum, I will try during the weekend.

request to expensive moderators examine better this case, because we have created an expectation around the equipment which at least should work the basic resources available, which is a feature that attracts me a lot and I can not use it.

Dear user,

If you give your phone to my hand, I'll be able to give you a better explanation. Without that, please follow my instructions. If your fingerprint sensor is hardware defective, a software related solution won't fix it. Basically simply to flash the latest SP Flash Tool ROM with the 'Firmware Upgrade' option should resolve any kind of specific software issues. If that doesn't help, I suggest you to contact your reseller for a replacement.
