Exactly the same problem here.
I received my Iron Pro today and can't be charged while it is powered on.

I have to switched it off in order to start scharging it. Also I notice a delay before this charging starts.  

No solution yet?

Anker USB C Cable

This one works for my phone.

I also bought a cheap usb c adapte, that works fine in combination with my old Samsung cable.

Confused: first umi-charger with anker-cable was fine. Now only my old Samsung charger + anker cable works and seems to be stable now.

It is not the cable

I used the UMI included cable and charger with my Xiaomi MI4C and it works perfectly. The Xiaomi MI4C charged with UMI Iron Pro cable/charger with no problem

I also tried the incuded Type-C Xiaomi MI4C cable and this also charges perfectly the UMI Iro Pro.  

This cable also charges Umi Iron Pro using Umi charger.

@tritongr congratulations HOCO cable charges UMI IronPro !!!!

Notice false advertising: the product description clearly gives the impression this is a USB 3.1 SuperSpeed cable, but it was not. The Type-A connector does not have the extra SuperSpeed pins necessary for USB 3.1.

Guys I've faced the same problem now. The phone won't charge. I've managed to open the Service Manu and when I go in the Battery Log it suddenly started to charge again without even touching something another - just entered there. The problem now is that the phone is charging, but I cannot connect to the PC. The PC (data) connection is not working now. When I plug it into the PC, it is only charging again and not even asking what mode I want or something like that. The PC is not detecting it as a device too. What should I do? Will a ROM full reflash fix this problem? As it seems like a software one.
