Hi,
Reading the threads on the unofficial rom and the issues, i will wait for the official ota...
anyway managed to solve the problem of the alarms not singing...
the Clock app was "Off" at the DuraSpeed tab... "On" it the alarms sang perfectly on time....
Everything is ok not perfect... now only complaint is the imperfect and blurry camera focus....

So it looks like it's not ROM version related. I'm on the latest unofficial ROM, 20171227, and Clock goes to sleep here too. Iv'e turned Clock on now in DuraSpeed and it shall be interesting to hear if it turns on tomorrow. The other day I had an extra good night sleep
What is DuraSpeed actually doing? It can be turned off, disabled, so I'm thinking about doing just that.

Still no alarm when phone's been sleeping for a while. Now I have disabled DuraSpeed. Shall be interesting to see in the morning....

Duraspeed sets all Apps in deep sleep for saving energy. If one wants to use the alarm clock, it has to be ticked off in the list. There are also some permissions one might have to Providence (check all settings in Apps). But this is with the most Android phones.

Thanks MarcinP/All,   For the moment I have NOT changed ROM to the Basic and I'm still using the Official ROM..  I have managed to overcome some of the issues I experienced.  For Example the Issue with Apps closing like the Alarm clock seems to be because of Screen-Off Clearing which is under permissions management..  Also to improve user experience I installed a better clock/alarm called "Timely"   Once this was installed and Screen-Off Clearing whitelisted the alarm seems to work.  The same thing works for Yahoo Mail, Gmail, Google Calendar etc etc..  So hopefully this will help others.

The last remaining real disappointment I have is the camera is terrible, MarcinP please can you advise if there is to be a fix for this?  The camera is OK with close up shots but seems totally unable to focus on a wide shot..  For example if I take a picture of a building or some trees it has no focus at all..  it's like the camera tries to focus and for a second it's sharp on screen but then it vanishes and the captured image is just noise and blur..
