Not only metal, my UMI Plus unlocks even when I place a piece of cloth over my finger, so the fingerprint sensor is useless. The phone even unlocks laying on my lap without pressing the button. I didn't realise this fault in the beginning because I used the phone only in my home office, if not in my hand it was laying there on the desk. But now during a business trip I experienced a lot of pocket dials, really annoying for my contacts and also a terrible waste of money (I was hit with 150 Euro roaming fees without doing even 1 intended phone call for this).

Needless to say the UMI Plus won't be used anymore as I can't trust the security mechanism.
Thanks UMI for making my decision very easy, my first UMI phone was such a great experience, I will avoid this brand at all costs.

* Wanna fry an egg and have no pan avail? Use UMI Plus instead, just leave screen on for 7 minutes or charge it.
* USB-C Connector are modern. Don't look to scary at your UMI Plus USB-C Connector or the plug wil actually fall out. Seriously, an ant could pull the plug out.
