Broken screen, pin locked, how to save my files?

Hello everyone,

my screen just cracked and it's now unresponsive. I'd like to save my files and pictures but the screen is broken, I can't type my pin code, the files on the sd card are encrypted and they won't show when I connect the device to the computer. I'd like to save my latest pictures and the backups of a couple apps. How can I do it? How can I access my phone? Can I decrypt my sdcard?

Buy a new screen maybe. It's cheap and easy to replace. This is what I would do (and did).

Thank you, I'll buy one. But is there a way to access my sdcard before the replacing?

Please get OTG adapter and connect PC mouse to phone and type in pin code.

Thanks I've tried but I have a dead screen, can't even see the pointer


I thought I could use ADB and some input some command to get out my files and backups but the device when locked is not authorized...

I'm no expert. But if you replace it you can use the card again. The screen  takes a week to come to the Netherlands from China (aliexpress) but maybe it can be faster to your country.

You may try Vysor that shows your phone screen on PC. Not sure if the apk can be installed via adb connection to your phone while locked.

If it's the files on the SD card you want, you should be able to just pop it out and hook it up to your computer (using an adapter). Not sure what format the SD card is, so you may be better off with a Linux computer (which have drivers for most any file system there is) if it's not FAT32
