I've found that ROM HERE as well. That's probably compatible but I can't confirm it.
The firmware of emax mini is developed by TCL, that's not under the control of UMI, and (as it turned out yesterday) updates won't be available in Rootjoy but here in the forum.
The CM12.1 ROM probably will be updated but no specific information about that yet.

As I said before I need a working device for the next 2-3 weeks and I am afraid to brick it flashing some new rom.. I am also a newbie in flashing roms so I bet I'm not the best subject to make this try.
I can do this but need time... and I have not.
On needrom I saw a lot of roms for the TCL, CM included and with different versions. Some comments say it's close to perfection.
Would love to try but later on this month.

I can test it, but some question. Can I go back to the version of the emergency kit (include missing recovery):

• if this version cant't boot or is in the boot loop
• if I don't like this.
  

Because I be on the verge of a reshipment or replacement by a othe phone type.

Are you sure your emax mini is running on MIUI rom? - that's a Xiaomi rom

Does this mean that updates for emax mini will NEVER be available in Rootjoy? And what's that "probably be updated" thing about? I thought UMI advertised CM12.1 would be available. If it finally isn't, that's false advertising.

• Now we know that, TCL 3S (M3G) firmwares are not fully compatible with UMI eMAX Mini.
• No eMAX Mini phones are shipped with MIUI ROM. How could anybody state that?
• UMI developers are working on that to make the Rootjoy app compatoble with eMAX Mini. That's difficult due to the different (Qualcomm) environment.
• The CM12.1 development for eMAX Mini is in progress. The release date is not known yet.

Is there different versions in emax minis? One I just got for my daughter doesn't have finnish language, however most of sellers claim that it has it. So, is there a eu/ asian stock rom existing, or only one version?

The new version contains Finnish language as well.
