My phone isn't heating at all.
Using it as a daily driver but I don't play games etc....
So bassicly you can't upgrade from V4.01 to V7.01_20170710 because there is no OTA provided.
Only possibility is bij SP Flash Tool All the info is on page 1 of this thread.

My method was:
- Made a backup of all my data I whised to keep.
- Hard reset on the current ROM V4.01 (before flash) from recovery.
- Flash V7.01_20170710 to your device with SP flash tool (don't boot the rom!!!)
- Boot into recovery and make a factory reset, perform 1 or 2 times (this is urgent for good performance!).
- Boot the phone into android and skip all the google setup things.
- Make a mobile phone connection with a (new) LTE supporting Sim Card and format the sd as internal storage or external whatever you like.
- Reboot and setup your new android 7.1.1. phone as a new device and restore backup if made.

When I go thru the Settings/Display/Proximity sensor calibration and attempt the Alsps Calibration.. I get this response..

As all last nougat v7.1.1, I did downgrade to keep a full work phone.
I tried all release and the best, stable with no drain is the last V6 ROM!
Camera doesn't work as it would but quality is correct.
With a real camera optimisation, this phone would be a photophone killer.

Hey, I am still on v4.01 but i can't go to recovery mode for hard reset
I think there is no recovery as the screen shows no command for a minute or two and the phone boots normally.
If i have to flash using flash tool do i have unlock the boot loader ???

Hold power up and volume button together. When logo appears, release power button. You'll see a tiny menu in white on a black screen. Use the volume UP button to navigate and the volume DOWN button to select. It will reboot to a dead robot.
At the dead robot, hold power button and tap volume UP. You'll get to the recovery menu.In the recovery menu, user volume UP or Down to navigate. Use POWER button to select.
