Hi,
This model is not in production for quite a long time already. Did you buy it as a new one or as a used device? You can try to flash the latest Andorid 7.0 ROM with SPFT in firmware upgrade mode, then let the battery charge to 100%.

i bought it last month on dealextreme website as new phone...and from the day that i upgraded last version of android with ota the phone starts to power off when arrives to 50% of battery and it collapsa to 0% immediately. when i try to flash a prevoius rom with SPFT and connect phone turned off the process doesn't starts and phone starts to charge connected to pc (with windows) . I also tried with macbook using terminal and fastboot but to do this with fastboot i need to unlock bootloader and when i try to unlok it with terminal command it says to me that i have to press volume up to confirm and i press and press but nothings happen because volume up doesn't work in fastboot unloking mode.

Dear Silvia if I can afford to give you further advice Back to Android 6 android 7 has a lot of bugs even if umi The opposite and just let loose all versions of Android 7 I have them Test all ... and guess what? Each has bugs I talked here and they told me I can not do a flash or root Now I'm using a rom found on 4pda of Android 7 but it does not exist here See my posts ... by ;)

if you read the various posts it seems that umi is not interested in updating this device unfortunately so there are only two roads .. or wait for the porting from elephone to the umi super of lineage 14.1 and then the porting from the super umi to the plus or return to Android 6 which is the most stable and among other things there is the porting of aeom rom for plus

I'm stuck with Umi by the Umi plus
Is a good little tablet, but a very bad phone. I can do everything but calls. Cant´t use bluetooth in calls, some times resets the simcards in calls, bad GPS signal, Gps aplications always in recalc mode. It is important to be fixed in an 7.1 Android rom. I can´t go trying a new Umi thablet if Umi can´t  be trusted. Umi must  take care of their customers. Umi must solve the old to promise the new.
So, I'm stuck with Umi by the Umi plus.

My battery drains very fast. In 5min it got discharged 3%. I am very upset , what should i do?

hello I think go to Google and look for the version of the rom that you place in the screenshot available in the forum 4pda .... is an old rom of umi plus but it works very well only the touchscreen is slightly less sensitive and the quick charge does not seem to work, but it is not clear then you root and delete play games playbook etc. not Google Chrome why do you need it for webview install xposed greenefy and amplify and then go to xda and download KITANA (attention to what active) and your phone will come to do all day and even half a day later (if you do not play all day;))

Hi,

Possibly that was a misfunction of the HAL sensor. You can find the settings of that clock in Settings --> Display --> S View Cover Setting but you need an original flip case with built in magnet to make it work.
