but did not you solve whith this method??

1) Enter SERVICE MENU #*#3646633#*#
2) go to Location TAB (on the TOP)
3) Select Location Based Services
4) First Grey Button is GPS(OFF) flick to ON - below that you will see Satelite status updates
5) Change GPS MODE to FULL START
6) You should get Prompt from LocationEM2 asking for permissions - grant ALL
7) Go to last Tab - RAW DATA and flick navigation to ON and measurement to ON

(I tried this procedure but I do not see point six, so it does not work for me)

now do you say this other method is better??

I've fixed a bit the gps with this tutorial, now the gps if I go slowly in the car hangs up to 10 satellites, if you go fast it goes down to 4-5 and often loses the signal then hang it a few seconds or one minute later

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNpzNNKl_3k

.....but is it possible that developers fail to solve a serious problem like gps? it's strange

Try this completed the method above, step 1, 2, from previos post, then go to YGPS/ Information, and hit those buttons Hot-cold-warm-full then Agps restart. Then go to Nmealog button and hit Start. Wait about 15-20 min and then press Stop. Do this outside in open sky. Restart the phone and test the GPS.

I just got my crystal from gear best and couldn't be more dissapointed. The battery with 100% charged drained in less than three hours, with the screen off most of the time. Is this right?

Restart phone, perform factory reset and charge again. I suspecting some app running in background and draining battery.

MarcinP, the issue was related to the GPS problem. It was on "high precision" mode and it was draining the battery. After disabled, or change to GPS mode, the battery is working fine.

I don´t think so. In my device the setting of location is almost at high precision and there are no such consequences for the battery.

I'm worried that the gps problem is caused by uneven hardware. I probably had luck with my device, the reception is not very good, but at least stable.
The picture shows the GPS Fix in the moving car (YGPS in the Engineering Mode). The amplitude of the individual satellites is not very high (about half of my girlfriend's Xiaomi) but enough is found for a fix.

You should try in while running a navigation app and see if:

a) Your GPS position lock is stable or you lose GPS lock several times.
b) See how stable if the cursor position within the navigation app. The compass being erratic caused the cursor to jump positions or change direction that causes the navigation app to recalculate route, This in my case occurs too frequently that it just frustrate you when you are in a traffic navigating.

I am not saying that you cannot get a GPS lock, you can get a GPS lock on the crystal but the signal quality is not good that it loses its location while on the move.

The compass is totally useless.

Hopefully they will improve the GPS and compass on the next OTA.
