Z2 pro users,

I want to know how bad our newly bought z2 pro is so let's find out

(1) Does you Z2 Pro work with all security choices opted out?  I mean just swipe to start the phone, no pin, no pattern and no password. Mine can work normally without any security installed.

(2) How many z2 pro can work with just the password as security?  There must be at least two as someone suggested the password in this thread and I followed.  I arranged my phone to start with a password thereafter the fingerprint or face can unlock the screen.  Thus my z2 pro phone appears to work normally as long as I do not use the pin or pattern which can lock my phone out.

(3) Has anybody got a Z2 Pro that has a working pin or pattern?  or have we all got this big bug?

(4) I am on the factory version v1.0_20180823-1352 and the wireless update says it is up to date.  Mine is the Ceramic version.  Do some Z2 Pro users already had a revised updated?

May I suggest that some Z2 Pro purchasers, me included, select a phone based on specification, went for a small discount to get it first off the production line knowingly took the risks that it could have some teething problems unresolved are technically minded suckers.  Many of us will either throw the Z2 Pro back at the sellers or are forced to keep it.  Thus we might as well try to bottom out how bad our position is.

That's a problem in today's society.
Everyone only considers the price.
The big promises and incredibly well-made advertising campaign of UMIDIGI I do not believe for a long time.
There are certainly worse devices and manufacturers with even less service,
but UMIDIGI always promises so much and then holds very little.
I think anyone who bought a UMIDIGI device knows what I'm talking about.

Hello z2pro users community,

I'm french user and it is  my 1st experience with umidigi. I have same security and camera issues.

1) my Z2pro work "normally" without any security installed

2) I would like test any procedure with just the password as security

3) I think we have all got this big bug

4) I tested V1.0_20180830 and I'm back to v1.0_20180823

Regarding your suggestion, I agree with you.

I'm waiting next firmware update, please hurry up.

hello administrator umidigi. I have the z2 pro with the security problem, I have already reset the end but the problem I have is the version of the system that has installed is UMIDIGI_Z2_PRO_V1.0_20180823_20180823_1352. Automatically I do not update to anything more recent that solves the problem. I would like to know what update and where to download it to solve them? Thanks in advance.

It actually work with no security. But it doesn't work with 3rd party screen lock app.
I used KWGT Lock today. It works fine but I check the phone later and it stop at the normal lock screen and couldn't do anything. Luckily restart the phone and I uninstalled KWGT Lock and back to normal.

I won't try any security methods before umi fix them.

Hi Guys,
I mentioned this several times
After receiving device or after factory reset please follow this instruction.
During installation please do not set any security, then please pass all steps and finish installation, go to settings - security - fingerprint - press yes - choose which security you want to use - press NO (this option removing android security during start up and you no need this because phone still ask for your own security during rebooting which is working correctly) - type in your password /pin etc - choose notifications option - and add fingerprint.
All this is solving android and any other security during booting.

You keep posting this but have you actually tried it? It does not work, you will still be locked out on a restart of the phone.

MarcinP - instead repeating the same old "workaround" that doesn't work, maybe you could find out whats going on with the promised ROM update? Clearly you're reading user posts but ignoring everyone who's asking for some kind of update on an actual fix - at the very least give bencebacsi or UMIadmin a nudge as they seemed to disappeared off the face of the earth.. maybe they have some idea whats going on
