First things first, I'm a big fan of the UmiDigi brand even if it's not available in India and I love Umi phones for their Design and Pure Android, my only problem was the mediatek chip sets but for the price you give, it's not a complaint. Your Umi Plus E is hands down the best budget smartphone, actually one of the best Phone ever.

It's great to see you're going for Snapdragon in crystal plus.
But I'm not a big fan of bezel less designs as they're very new now and you have to turn your phone upside down to take a selfie, weird.

Imvho a bezel less 'flagship' (Crystal Plus) is not such a great idea, I don't think ppl would be willing to spend a lot of money for a phone with so many design limitations and software limitations.
Unless you have a path breaking idea, my suggestion would be to wait till Apple or Samsung release the perfect Bezel less phone and then you can copy it and sell it for a cheaper price.

But the cheaper Crystal would be good for now as it starts from mere $100 so enthusiasts who want a bezel less knock off would go for it.
But I personally don't want a bezel less phone now so I won't elaborate further but I wish you all the best.

But since you're asking for suggestions, I wanna put forward one of mine...

Your Umidigi G is so beautiful, almost like iPhone 7 and we all know iPhones are the best looking phones so I would love to see you release your next flagship with the Umidigi G design.

Coming to the specs your Umidigi Z pro is a beast, so it would be great if you go with the same specs but with little changes.
The changes would be 6GB RAM, 64 GB ROM and a snapdragon processor.
Yeah Snapdragon but 835 would be costly as it's new so 821 would be good as it's old so it'll be cheap.

I've seen so many surveys suggesting, people in developing countries don't really care abt the latest hardware but they care abt latest software(Android version) so people don't need mediateks 'Deca core' cpus, they'd be happy with Qualcomms 'Quad core' cpus as long as they have the latest Android and apps.

So If you can make a phone with that design and specs with Android Nougat out of the box for $300, that will be the best budget phone ever and one of the best selling phones of 2017,  cause Snapdragon, yeah it'll gain attention, it'll have performance and also features like nfc and other sensors.
But if cost is a problem then I'd suggest you go with helio x30 as they say it's made of 10nm so it should heat less and should have good performance so it'll be good too.

Think about it Umidigi Team.

If a phone are such a personal thing then if UMI should build one to my personal need, then it would be a really cheap phone.
First of all i would not like a single camera in it, and it should not be larger than 5" if it don't have any extraordinarily good grip on the phone.

Glassblasted texture are not enough, sandblasted or maybe korund blasting agent are too rough too but what i am used to work with.
Ra should be something in between those extremes.

Glass should be extrememy strong, i constantly fear breaking my phone just like i have with all my smartphones over time, and honestly i do try to take care of them, not using pants pocket and so on.

Frame / body should also be very strong, and to be honest i wouldn't mind if the phone are 2 X thicker than my Z, and a big battery would be nice too, but the bulk of additional size should be used to strengthen the phone to the extreme.

Dont need the latest CPU performance but would like latest OS, octa core would be plenty, i don't game or run a multinational company from my phone.
I wouldn't even watch video on a phone as that's just plain stupid on such small screens, and totally honest as i always ab when i see a person watching TV or a movie on a phone i feel like going over ans bitch-slap the person.

So put simple a mid range phone - ultra strong build - ultra safe optimal OS support - no bloatware

Dont need cameras. I have Dslr - action cameras and 6 dashcams in my car, so don't need phone camera, and surely not a selfie camera.

But UMIdigi will find it hard to sell that phone to anyone else, as what i want are not what 99% of phone users what.

Regarding Crystal phone,,,, using SD 835 wont that ramp up prize, i thourght those was snapped up for so many other high end phones from a range of the popular known brands.

Nfc works even with metal cover. Think about htc m8 .  Post time 2017-5-6 15:23
Wireless charging is not possible through a metallic case but the NFC can work.  Post time 2017-5-6 09:42
When it gets a metal cover, it won´t have NFC.  Post time 2017-5-6 06:03

Crystal Pro looks good..
No need to bother with SD 835..821 will do fine.. It doesn't matter if the phone sucks in real usage.

NFC is a must IMHO.. My deal breaker. I want a phone with grip.. Beautiful women with no brains I don't know how to appreciate.

Expandable storage dedicated slot, so that dual SIM can be optimized.

Don't introduce flip cases where I can only use it in 180 degrees mode.. It should not trigger lock screen when flipped 360 degrees.. I've been using flip cases and the Z Pro is the most comical with this case. And I bought the Z Pro because I believe it has potential. But the selling b point was the dual cameras, which is not my deal breaker - I want a beast of a phone.

Network wise go for LTE+ standards.

Push it out with close to stock 7.1.1 since beta already out.. Skip bloat ware and you get a good following.. That's what I liked about the Z Pro.

If you can keep the price on pre launch with the above to around $150, I'll spend my last v dollar to buy it..

Edited by Daphone at 2017-5-8 00:12 \n\n"and we all know iPhones are the best looking phones"
While a lot of people seem to look this way about phones, to me a phone are just a communication tool and not a fashion statement, and surely the fruit company phones are nothing special.
Actually i personally look down at people brandishing the fruit phones, not least the many that have developed awkward ways of holding the phone so other people can see the logo on it.

And i would not call $300 budget, that's mid-range to me and i would assume high end for most people in Africa, and it is actually the most i would ever use on a bloody phone.

There are no sane reason for UMIdigi to play in the fruit phone look alike contest or even mention that brand in relation to their own brand, a phone are just a phone, and as Nokia once desperately proved trying to make them significant different from what was the norm back then. that are a loosing game ( remember those weird shaped Nokia phones )
A phone are just a phone, and the shape and look it can have are limited by the way we currently use them, i strongly doubt flexible displays and what not mentioned of things to come will change anything, unless it off course for no apparent reason become trendy like fruit phones.

X-mas 2016 i touched a fruit company devise for the first time, and my hands still feel dirty.

Haha i just realized we are talking about a cheap crystal and what i assume will be a expensive version, no wonder mentioning of SD 835 freaked my brain when i had already seen the 99 dollar prize mentioned for the cheap model.

Stupid me and my selective reading.

NFC and such things are of no interest to me, that's just another smartphone thing i would never use.
Or only used when cash are finally phased out of Danish society ( heading in that direction ), i do have a visa card now, but that's just for online shopping i would never use it for anything else.
But i fully understand the "normal" phone users wanting such features.
