UMI Flip Cover - SOLVED

Hello All,

i have buy official cover  UMI Z Cover.
When I open the protection at 360 °, the screen locks
It is a problem when I put the phone in a car holder, i can't use my GPS.

for the moment i remove case protector but it's not good solution

This what you saying is that when you have flipped cover back of phone then clock is activating itself and you can't use phone.
As you know to activate cover features there is small magnet placed in cover.
Please put finger on inner side of front cover and you should feel magnet in centre of right edge.
By my opinion sensor is too sensitive or magnet is to stron and when you place magnet on rear of phone then phone is thinking that cover is closed.
If your cover is working correctly then is no other explanation and you need brake magnetic field. To do this please place small piece of kitchen aluminium foil between back of phone and cover on same place where magnet is placed in cover. This will be stupid placed on outside of cover as will look very bad.
But if cover is not working correctly then is big possibilities that magnet is placed incorrectly in to cover and that why is working incorrectly and solution will be, asked seller to replace or refund. Or remove magnet and place other way around.

Please tell me where the foil should be placed - inside the front cover, in front of the front cover, behind or inside of the soft casing? Or on the phone back side?

I can't understand your explanation please be more precision.
What is exactly happening with genuine cover?
Is same issue happening when cover is removed?
Did you updated your phone to latest software?
Was this happening before update?
What is exactly wrong with GPS?

I experience the same issues with the S View cover.

The cover must be pushed all the way to the right when flipped 360 degrees. Which means it can't fit the holder.When the cover is aligned on the right side with the phone, the screen lock appears.
That's the problem when using the cover.


@MarcinP - it is the original S View cover for the Umi Z. This was part of the bundle I received with the phone. The problem could be with the cover magnet being too strong?

Wow, what a solution

I bought this:

It is cheap and fit's 100% the quality isn't top notch though but it does the job.

Only downside is that it is missing Creditcard holder and doesn't have a magnetic lock.

The positive about it, is that it is pretty slim fit, so it doesn't look like a phone on steroids.

I would say that is minor problems, to answer a call you could just flip the cover, as the same with watching the time.

As go with music player, i guess you would have to pick the phone from your pocket anyway, not sure what you mean with the intelligent battery saver thing.

I guess he meant that the S View cover turns off the screen. Normal ones doesn't.
